Man Shot [Himself] Running From Police

Police say a man trying to flee from officers accidentally shot and killed himself.
Police in Greenbelt, Md., are investigating an incident where a man fatally shot himself while being pursued by officers.
The incident happened in the Springfield Lake Apartment complex around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Just before the shooting, there had been a report of two men with guns getting into an sports utility vehicle. Authorities said officers responded to that call and stopped a vehicle with two men inside. Police said the passenger in the front-seat, jumped out and took off running, with officers in pursuit.
Investigators said the man tried to aim a gun at the officers chasing him, but it went off as it was pointed at his own head. Police have not released his name. One of the officers involved in the pursuit has taken administrative leave.
A police spokesman said no shot was fired from any officer's weapon during the incident.

This guy probably couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time, and he tries to run and shoot a gun at the same time. Gotta wonder what was going through his brain at the time (besides the EEG null signal :o)
