I'd be certain to go let that teacher, principal, school board know that my children will have NOTHING to do with their "winter" parties. In OUR home, we'll celebrate CHRISTMAS!!!

All the political correctness is based on the opinion that OUR God isn't the god of a number of other cultures in this country.

I'm terribly sorry for these "other cultures" but this country was founded by men named George, Thomas, and Ben, not Jorge, Ahmed, and Sven!!!

Boy I bet the public would go nuts over an annual Christmas at the White House with the Bush's.

No christmas trees with condoms on them... *sigh* it is nice to have civilzed people in there again...

**The one positive thing about it though, is the fact that there are still "Christmas" carols and songs performed by the orchestra (mixed in with a few non-traditional pieces).**

And I especially love it when a choir sings a traditional song in Latin!

BTTT!

Hold that thought! In Canada the government has changed the words to "The 12 days of Christmas" to "The 12 Days of Giving!" I kid you not. Check out this link!

12 Days Of ... Giving? Canadian Mint Drops 'Christmas'
Royal Canadian Mint Criticized For Marketing Decision

OTTAWA -- The Royal Canadian Mint is raising holiday hackles with a new version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

The chorus in its TV ads this year makes it, "The Twelve Days of Giving."

The Mint says changing the lyrics was a marketing decision, since a lot of people who don't celebrate Christmas still buy gifts. But critics say it's taking political correctness to an all-time low.

Ottawa Anglican minister Nancy Murphy said it's time for Christians to take back Christmas. Canadian Opposition Leader Stephen Harper agrees. He sees it as part of an effort to expunge Christian references from government activity.
