NY Times Hints Landrieu is Toast
NYT via Newsmax ^ | 11-25-2002 | Mike Reilly

Posted on 11/25/2002 6:49:01 AM PST by Notwithstanding

The New York Times doesn't actually come right out and say it, but ... its coverage ... reveals that... Landrieu is going to lose to GOP challenger Suzanne Terrell.

Exit polls on Election Day showed that voters in swing Senate races listed abortion as a major concern, with pro-lifers having the edge. In fact, those who cited abortion as their most important issue voted overwhelmingly for the pro-life candidate.

The Old Gray Lady, however, has been conspicuously silent on this trend. Typically Times editors highlight a candidate's pro-life stance only when that candidate is likely to lose.

Saturday's Times offered a comprehensive analysis of the Louisiana Senate race, contrasting the positions of Landrieu and Terrell her on everything from Iraq to funding for the Boy Scouts.

Yet nowhere in the paper's lengthy report did it get around to mentioning that Landrieu is pro-abortion while Terrell is pro-life.

Translation: The New York Times knows Suzanne Terrell is going to win.

Kind of astounding. The Old Gray Whore nevers ceases to amaze in its disdain for journalistic integrity and its capacity for hypocrisy.

This is an important race. In terms of composition of committees, there's a big difference between 52 Republican Senators and 51 Republican Senators.

Personally, I wish they would degrade the power of those committees... but that's the reality of power in that most anachronistic of organizations.

Anyway, here's hoping for a big win on Dec 7!

Let's hope and pray you are right on target.

I talked to a fella from Mississippi who has a very dear lady friend in Louisiana. She tried and tried to call Landrieu's office on a very serious personal matter. She was treated very rudely when she could even get thru to talk to a staffer.

She vowed to go out of her way to NOT VOTE for Mary, and to encourage her friends and relatives to do the same. I could see the coldness in Mary Landrieu on the Meet the Press "debate". I suppose her office reflects her attitude, to her detriment.

Suzie would make a good Majority Leader some day, and has a good shot at being the most influential, most heavyweight Woman in the Senate, the day she gets to town!

Louisiana may be ready to lead the nation now, in both parties, lead it back to open religious faith and Christianity, and repentance for its baby-killing.

Also remember, God likes to bring down the prideful and arrogant, and let the poor and downtrodden have a chance in the sun.

It's important all right, but not primarily because of committee dynamics. It's important because if one of our members dies from a state with a RAT governor, we lose a seat. The 52 is therefore an insurance policy.

Terrell is missing an important connection with the voters. Landrieu keeps harping on Terrell being a rubber stamp for Bush. Terrell needs to respond that Louisiana needs at least one senator with immediate access to the White House.

Terrell has not closed the sale on this. I wish she would.

I saw a full size photo of this witch, Landrieu, posted in her full 'glory' on Drudge. She was wearing one of those 'Pheonix rising' pins just like Hitlery wears. (There were several reports posted here that traced the satanic origins of the design).

The Clintonites deserve to be politically destroyed. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and the NYT, and their corporate foundations and subsidiaries, are an evil political cabal. F'em all.

The more the left spews "a womans right to kill", the more people who value life will vote for the first time, and they'll vote Republican.

I don't like it when the NYSLIMES says a RAT may be in trouble --- are they sandbagging the voters so GOP voters will stay home thinking a GOP win is a sure thing?

Terrell has not closed the sale on this.

I agree. Despite recent good news from polling data, this remains a cliff-hanger. I don't know anything about the state of LA. What's the outlook for RAT election fraud in that state?

Exit polls on Election Day showed that voters in swing Senate races listed abortion as a major concern, with pro-lifers having the edge.

There are a few posters at DU who understand that pro-abortion zealotry will never translate into a mandate-winnning issue for the democrats. But the "stick-scissors-in-the-head-and-twist" frothers just scream them down.

The pro-abortion democrat frothers are cut from the same bolt of cloth as the pro-dope libertarians. They are one issue screamers and pouters whose shrillness is compromising their respective party's long term health.

The best way to get back at ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN is to avoid television altogether. I stopped watching TV in 1974 and have no regrets. I get my news from the Internet and talk radio, along with the American Free Press.

If it's an eagle pin with a pearl, it's anti-gun.
The pin originally meant rememberance of Pearl Harbor.
Right now, it means anti-gun because it was designed by a woman named Ann Hand. The anti-gun project in DC is called "Project Ann", meant to outlaw hand guns. Get it? Ann/Hand?

District of Columbia law code name Ann
Requires Acrobat Reader

Landrieu needs to be asked her opinion of gun ownership. That'll kill her if she gives an honest answer.

I could see the coldness in Mary Landrieu on the Meet the Press "debate".

I'm not sure what the forum was but in today's USA today, the paper reprots that Landrieu literally threatened Terrell after the debate was over. Landrieu was reported to have said "This will be your last campaign"

Terrell said "She threatened me".

Landrieu's response was "It was a prediction, not a threat".

I would love to see Landrieu go down, particularly in light of rumors that she stole her last election.

This is terrible analysis by Newsmax. Absolutely pathetic, and if its thinking like this on election day, than its Landreau who will win. First, of all, national security and the war on terrorism are the number one concern of voters, especially swing voters. Sure, getting out the pro-lifers is a good "strategery", but please don't kid yourself that the Nov. 5th election was about abortion. Even in the south, people like Saxby Chambliss won because they pointed out that people like Max Cleland voted like Greens on national defense.

That ain't no eagle. The neck is way too long. It is a Pheonix 'bird' and its satanic origins are well documented.
