pretending they didn't exist

I like this route. Perverts I've seen act very strange, and the best way I know is to do just this. Is that intolerant? I don't think so. But WAHHHHHHH! anyway.

Send this rugged woman an email. I guess she was hired to keep their butch quotient high.

I don't see anything wrong with what Hearst said. Why would you want one of those things in your locker room? And in the AP story about it, he didn't completely go out an apologize. Who would want a pervert on their team? I don't know what he's afraid of when he apologizes. Even in San Francisco (I feel sorry for all you SFers) perverts don't make a huge percentage of the population. And that's just the city, not counting the millions of fans in the surrounding metro area. The media may make a bluster, but as the election showed, it's actual, literal people, not just media hype, that counts.

Huh? What the hell IS homophobia? Fear of homosexuals?
If that was true, then why do 6 foot, 230 pound linebackers still frequent hair salons?

Then you're just as much of a bigot as Hearst is, dude. Attitudes like yours give Conservatives a bad name. Wake up.

We have this talk show host out here on the left coast by the name of Ronn Owens. He claims to be a moderate, but he is a whining self-righteous liberal when the subject of homosexuality comes up. A caller came on to defend Garrison Hearst's comments, explaining correctly that this behavior is perverted.

The skilled host slammed this poor guy down, claiming that he was ignorant and intolerant and that we should celebrate these alternative lifestyles. When he squealed this "better than thou" preachy response, it was enough to make this conservative want to through a brick at my radio. He hung up on the caller and almost went into tears that someone could be so "hateful".

I would also encourage our freepers who believe in traditional values to call the Ron Owens show. I must warn those that do, however, that he is skilled at what he does when it comes to defending political correctness. Have your facts straight, stay calm, be assertive and stand your ground.

Quick - someone call Bob Costas and Frank DeFord so they can get out their hankies and cry for the cameras!

"You're afraid it's going to rub off on you," Haynes said over the phone a few days ago."

Maybe this was Haynes problem. My problem with homosexuality is that God says it's a sin, and I have found it is better to agree with God than with man.

Note to Gwen:

Some people disagree with you. That's okay. You don't have to fix them; they are fine. Everyone on the planet does not have to agree with your world view. Get over yourself.

Homophobia in sports is a highly political issue that desperately needs to be personalized.

Some people do well holding hands in encounter-groups singing "Kum-ba-ya", and some do not. If a football player wants to accept or exclude a certain individual as a member of his circle of friends based upon sexual-orientation or any other criteria, then let him. Sheesh! This broad needs to get a life of her own and quit borrowing from others.
