Homophobia in sports is a highly political issue that desperately needs to be personalized Huh? What the hell IS homophobia? Fear of homosexuals?

Why is it necessary for NFL players who are gay to come out
of the closet. Lets say I have several female friends who
are married, but I manage to keep my sexual fantasy about
them in check. I value the friendship so I keep my mouth shut about it.
How is this any different than a gay guy keeping his mouth shut
about his sexuality when it comes to the NFL or the Armed Forces?
How about a married man who manages to keep a mistress on the
side and lies to his wife about the affair. The we feel sorry for him?
The stress and anguish of having to lead a double life?
