The Augusta National Golf Club's refusal to admit women before the Masters tournament next April has galvanized men from coast to coast and outraged women's groups.

A question for the ladies, Are you outraged?

Well, I'm not a lady, but I am outraged. Outraged that some busy-body woman would try to infiltrate a gentlemen's club, when surely somewhere, some man needs his laundry done. How dare she!!

Linda S. Wallace is a cultural coaching consultant

Linda, baby, hit the links after you are a member and tell the big time businessmen that this is what you do. You think they are going to take you seriously?

First of all, there is no problem with having a men's club. If you don't like it, go start a womens club, oh wait they do have those and men can't join. You are entitled to be with and associate with whomever you chose and that isn't just a right for women and "minorities." It is also a right for men as well.

As far as women atheletes, are you saying that they are just as good as male atheletes. Could a top ranked female basketball, tennis, soccer, or golf player beat their top ranked male counterpart on a consistent basis. I would have to say that the answer is an obvious "NO." Now this presents a problem because I assume that you also want equality. Now, paying someone the same amount for performing at different standards IS NOT EQUALITY. I think the problem is you want equal priviedges, but when it comes to the stuff that you enjoy because of you "minority" status, then it is ok to ignore the equality thing.

Tell me what you think about this, because I am curious as to how you can logically defend yourself being that the thing you are fighting against is the same thing you are fighting for in concept. Unless you are saying it is not ok for there to be women's clubs, latin music awards, society of black enigineers, etc. Is that what you are saying? I would still disagree with you because of the first thing I wrote, but at least then you would not be a hypocrite.

"as long as these organizations don't use public funds, or afford their members an undisputable advantage in the business world. "

Notice how Burk sympathizers continue to redefine what constitutes freedom of association. It's not just "public funds" anymore, now it's an "advantage in the business world." And this never gets challenged--why? What next? No public funds AND doesn't harm the environment? No public funds AND doesn't offend our special interest group du jour?

Another feminist - a "cultural coach," if you please - with the old, tired excuse that men use privacy to advance their business concerns while women in a similar situation do not, and hence men are undeserving of privacy but women are not. So I'll ask "coach" a question - which are there more of, men-only spas or women-only spas? Men-only health clubs or women-only health clubs? And a golf course is what, again?

This article is just another by a liberal author who wants to stand in line to throw a liberal pie in the face of Hootie Johnson and The Augusta National Golf Club.

By putting her liberal spin on this story the author comes to the false conclusion that if a terrorist cell adopted her left wing ideas it would be such a bombshell the terrorist cell would disintegrate. What a line of liberal BS.
