20/20...this was too easy. I'll echo the others and decry the stupidity that's out there. Not a surprise, though, anyone who gets in a car and tackles traffic day in and day out could tell you that.

It would've been really funny if they had a trick question like 'The Shire is found under what number on this map?'...that would've been so cool...

They could have been trickier, like have both Sweden and Norway's numbers as answers. If they had done that, I would not have gotten the easy 20/20 I got.

The map part is pretty foolish. For instance, the question on Argentina-----There was only one number in the choice column that was for a country in SA. The same with Afghanstan in the ME.

The stupidity in this country and the world is amazing. Make a game of it on TV tho, with pretty bimbos and macho nudnigs, put it to a catchy tune, and all teens would have the answers.

Most of these were incredibly easy, even if you only had a general idea of where the countries were. But the US performance was terrible.

Even the last question: Where is Argentina on this map? Picking Chile wasn't even a choice. To miss that, you would have NO CLUE that it's somewhere in the southern part of South America.

US students answered correctly 27% of the time. A random guess would have been right 25% of the time.

Our schools have failed, in geography at least.

OOPS! I guessed wrong, thinking that there are way more Buddists than Christians. But I'll admit to 19 correct (did they count all the leftist Buddists on the Left Coast?).

The test proves that the Euros (Germany and Sweden) are the best educated in geography by far. How can that be? We spend much more per student for education than they do so why are Americans so dumb? Could it be the Teachers Union and the RAT party are to blame? Does Santa wear red?

Back in ancient times when I was in grade school, we had to memorize the names and locations of all countries, their capitals, rivers, mountain ranges and largest cities. We also had to know every state in the Union, capitals and all major features of each. I loved geography and still do.

I got 19 of 20 because I talked myself out of the correct answer on the largest religion. For some reason I thought I remembered seeing some statistics that showed differently. Should have remembered to always go with my first instinct.

It was sad to see how poorly the U.S. survey participants did overall (but not surprising given the state of "publik skule" education these days).

I missed it because I forgot about all the Catholics in the lower Americas. My mind went to the "old world" in doing mental calculations.

I wonder if we just concentrated on "across the ocean" what the answer would be? You're probably right about Buddahism. But Islam would still right up there at the top, wouldn't you think? Since CONVERT OR DIE is their philosophy, they are trying to make themselves #1. Our job is to stop them.
