[history]
James Jeffords surely must be the loneliest senator on Capitol Hill. Just six months after the Republican leadership pulled out all the stops to get the Vermonter re-elected in 2000

I'm glad they rolled thier eyes... Now, they just need to create a new committee position for him: "Rank Member"

I would not want to be living in Vermont right now. Between Jeffords and Leahy they are represented in the senate by two of the most reviled men from the Republican Party's perspective. I'm thinking Vermont is about to experience a GOP-led punishment of biblical proportions.

I ran both "Sorry" and "Jim" through the Search engine and came up empty. Besides, some interesting stories are posted at 1:30 AM in the morning and then disappear completely.

..............pounding sand.............. I HOPE so.......................given the propensity of the Pubbie leadership to behave like Charlie Brown asking Lucy to hold the football.

"Watch and see. The idiot Lott will re-seat him."Actually it would fun to watch and the guy would be completely discredited.

The good thing about this news bit is that the 'ho has assessed the chances of Chaffee and McCain jumping and has decided that it is not likely. He has also decided that Louisiana will probably elect Terrell (R). So that means his leverage is highest right now, before the Louisiana election.

The government is trying to establish a nuclear waste dump in Nevada. Wouldn't Vermont be a more appropriate site?

Mr. Jeffords is just the kind of elected servant of the people we don't need. It would be interesting to know why his chairmanship of the Environment and Public Works Committee is soooooo important to him, I don't believe it is for the betterment of Vermonters or America.........anyone got a clue?

At the very least these stupid, socialist "milk subsidies" should be immediately repealed as an "In yo face" gesture.
To: DoctorMichael
The Republicans only comment to Jeffords should be, "Got Milk"?

Someone in the GOP should tell the "principled" Mr. Jeffords that one does not acquire virtue by becoming a better type of prostitite.
