Dick Armey going to work ACLU
Michael Savage Show | 11/19/02 | Me

Posted on 11/19/2002 9:19:20 PM PST by bradactor

Hey, Guys, I am posting this because I heard this just tonight on the Michael Savage Show and wanted to see if anyone on here can verify it. He said that Dick Armey was going to work or thinking going to work for the ACLU to help with civil liberties issues. Anyway, since Michael gave no source I just thought I would post this for comment and possibly verification.

Well, Hank, from what he said the other day he is back on in Seattle, I think the same radio station. He was really adamant about it too lol. I listen to Savage to get my energy going. Even though I disagree with him at times he is entertaining.

Savage was referring to the California ballot

not when I heard him...he was talking about the Lout and Hutchinson in AR, Coleman and Allard.

Armey is far from liberal & he doesn't particularly care for the ACLU.

He does have serious concerns about our rapidly eroding privacy rights - as does the ACLU. If he did consult with them, rest assured his agenda would remain conservative.

I'm actually glad he's going to work for ACLU. He might be able to talk some common sense into those people. Maybe explain to them that the bill of rights is not a menu where you pick and choose. If he can change them around, it would be a good thing.

Heard that there's actually a philosophical debate going on within the ACLU, between their bolsheviks who are dedicated to politically correct liberal pablum and those who believe in giving everybody their constitutional due. Could Armey furnish the edge necessary to bring this philosophically principled minority into control? That would be a win for the whole country. I hope folks like Jay Sekulow and the ACLJ are ready to accept this situation graciously if it happens, rather than falling down on their own momentum.

Dick has to put down the bottle and rethink this.

Since Armey is being attacked by Freepers I thought I’d bump this old Armey - ACLU thread.
