Hey, Guys, I am posting this because I heard this just tonight on the Michael Savage Show and wanted to see if anyone on here can verify it. He said that Dick Armey was going to work or thinking going to work for the ACLU to help with civil liberties issues. Anyway, since Michael gave no source I just thought I would post this for comment and possibly verification.

Given the bent of the ACLU, I would guess that Armey was going to work ON the ACLU, not FOR the ACLU.

That is absurd. Savage has little credibility with me.

Sounds to me like Savage is off his meds again. Either that or I've died and gone to hell.

That is absurd. Savage has little credibility with me. I'm no fan of Savage at all, but he really lost me during the sniper saga in DC. He was on the radio whining about how Bush was failing as President because he wasn't doing daily press conferences to calm the nation down and that he was failing at his duty as the national father.
He made me sick.
Then before the election he was whining about how it was usless to vote or to support anyone in any race because the dems were going to win and it didn't matter anyway blah blah blah...then on Nove 6 he's blathering on about how "we" won and beat the libs. Savage is one sick, bi-polar big mouth.

That is why I asked because one time on the show he said that he saw some photo of Hillary Clinton whispering in President Bush's ear telling him what to say at some New York function. That was a little hard for me to swallow

Armey is still brusied because his kid did not get elected to fill his seat.

Majority Leader Armey Departs
House Majority Leader Dick Armey Departs, Thinking of Working With ACLU
The Associated Press
From the Guardian:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uslatest/story/0,1282,-2184827,00.html
WASHINGTON (AP) - He never got the flat tax that spurred him to run for office, but House Majority Leader Dick Armey departs Washington with his cowboy-boots image and one more bomb to throw as he exits the stage: He may go work for the ACLU.
A conservative Texas Republican with a libertarian bent, Armey says he is considering consulting with the ACLU on privacy issues.

Savage was taken off KVI in Seattle this week - best radio programming move I've seen in a long time. He wears thin very quickly.

Savage was referring to the California ballot. We know the left coast is not going conservative. I questioned whether to vote. BTW I could have not voted & nothing would have changed. There is no republican party in California. We could have had a Pubbie governor but the skids were put to him not to mention the illegal issue. And for that & that reason ONLY, Simon lost. Let me point out that McClintock was the only Pubbie with a lead & the Dems blasted negative ads that cause his loss. Just remember when Pelosi & the Dems start spewing their crapola over & over via this gov/media complex.....

I would guess that Armey was going to work ON the ACLU, not FOR the ACLU. Those of us who have followed Dick Armey with (mostly) admiration throughout his Senate career are certain that is the case. I'm a little surprised they are considering allowing him to get his foot in the door.

House career.

I'd be disappointed if he did go to work for the ACLU. The best one could for would be his ability to influence those commies bastards in a positive way.

oops... thanks for catching that...
