(LONDON) TUBE (SUBWAY) 'CYANIDE PLOT'

Three men have been charged over an alleged plot to release cyanide gas on the London Underground tube network.

The men are north African muslims said to belong to a group linked to al Qaeda.

The alleged plot was foiled after the group was infiltrated by MI5 agents in a six month operation.

The men are thought to be of either Tunisian or Moroccan background and belong to a group called the North African Front, said to have loose connections with Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network.

One of the men is aged 21, the second 33. The third is in his mid 30s.

They appeared at Bow Street Magistrates' Court earlier this week and were remanded in custody.

Details of the hearing were not released by Scotland Yard at the time and have only just emerged.

The three men will re-appear in court on Monday.

Think of Islamacists having a voting majority in Britain. Pretty soon they would be re-writing English history, removing all references to your royal history and would probably demand demolition of all cathedrals, including Westminster Abbey.

A friend of mine in Belfast had his bar blown up by the IRA, killing 20 people including his seventeen year old sister.

Ivan - allow me to echo the sentiments wishing Maggie Thatcher was still running the show in the UK.

Help me get it straight - many of the stories I've read about the Brits vis a vis the members of the "religion of peace" seem to indicate that political correctness has gone way over the edge there. I recall a story about a Brit who received jail time for fighting with some Muslims when he saw them celebrating after 9/11. Also, the senseless anti-gun laws enacted in the UK seem to have led to the conclusion we gun owners knew it would - guns have been outlawed, outlaws have guns.

Please pardon my rambling here - I simply can't reconcile the stories of an ultra - left UK with the country who stood alone against the Nazi threat. I'm looking for insight without media bias, I guess.
