Here you go. I've had several of my friends sign up with this one. My wife, too.

I'm a web developer and have multiple websites and it's a money loser. But if you really want to do it, get a copy of Netscape and use Composer just to create a few web pages. By the time you are through, you will know a lot more. Look locally for a web hoster. The wear and tear is much less when you have someone to strangle.

Good luck.

First things first - what kind of site do you want to build, and what's going to be on it? Message me privately if you need assistance.

Regards, Ivan

You're welcome. Don't be fooled by the whimsical nature of the Webmonkey site. They are part of Wired Magazine/Hotwired.com which was/is at the bleeding edge of internet technology. You won't be able to digest it all in one evening but hang in there for a couple/few evenings and you'll get the dirty-low down on all aspects of the internet and e-commerce so that you'll be better prepared to handle all the rip-off artists.

Yes, the Webmonkey's are liberals so some of the language may get a bit coarse at times, but it's not too bad.

Good luck!
