8 and 7 years?

Any punishment for their "lover"? Or do they not want to incur the wrath of the Democrat/Nambla crowd...

So does this mean the other guy is innocent?

Either the boys killed him or the other guy killed him.

The "lover" was acquitted. They can't try him again. The libs only waive double jeopardy rules if the victim is Rodney King.

THe light sentences were justified-the poor boys were orphans, for crying out loud. (Sarcasm?)

Chavis faces two more trials. One trial is on a charge of a lewd and lascivious act on a minor - Alex - and the other is on charges of accessory after the fact to King's murder and tampering with evidence. Both trials are scheduled for February.

Another sad day for justice.

8 and 7 years? You've got to be joking. What kind of sentence is this?

I think the penalty is too stiff. imagine having to go the rest of your life without your father. Pardon me, I need to have a good cry.

I was talking about rape or statutory rape.

Or has "man boy love" finally made the mainstream...

The boys settled.

The boys did the deed, their wrote and signed statements that Alex started the conversation about killing their father, and Derek followed through with the aluminum bat. Aterwards they went to the store and called Rick, who picked them up and hid them out for a day or two, and then took them to LE.

Rick will be or already is charged with being an accomplish and Alex King will testify against him.

This appeared to be a difficult decision for the judge. You could tell this weighed very heavy on his heart. Alex and Derek will not have to serve their time in a real prison, they will be with other children (God, bless the other children). The days that they have already spent incarcerated will account toward their sentences.

I imagazine there is a possibility of rehabilitation, but to me at 12 and 13 years old, these two are too far gone. Smoking maraijuana, having sex with an adult, murder, arson.

Hopefully, miracles still happen.

This outrageous case is a perfect reason to ABOLISH the Juvenile Justice System!!!!! It doesn't make any difference how old a killer is, the victim is just as dead. Both boys should face the "chair"!!!!!!!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe this case was tried in the adult court not the juvie court.
