Cry, Cry, Cry you liberals. You let Beady eyed Daschle lose the Senate for you, now it is time to pay the piper.

Oct. 9, 2002...
On Wednesday, Sen. Pat Leahy, D-Vt., compared Bushs resolution to the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin resolution that led to the Vietnam War
Sen. Pat Leahy, D-Vt is asking where the 1.6 billion is going. This smacks of early day Vietnam

Leahy...what a maroon. Of course, what can one expect from a state that is known for its sap?

"Leahy complained that President Bush had won the Senate by supporting the Republican candidate in Georgia, who, Leahy added, 'was a draft dodger who attacked Sen. (Max) Cleland on his patriotism.'"This is not true. Chambliss clearly said:
"I'm not questioning your patriotism. I'm questioning your judgment."
Is Leahy saying that he doesn't know the facts here??? If he doesn't, why not??? Is he intentionally distorting the facts??? Is he ignoring the facts??? Is it merely an honest mistake on Leahy's part???
The truth is easily available to everyone--including Leahy.

Since Leahy's statement was not made on the Senate floor and that what he said was a lie, cannot he be sued for slander?

"He supported a man, for example, in Georgia who was, well, the best way to put it - was a draft dodger who attacked Sen. Cleland on his patriotism. And the president joined in that. Sen. Cleland lost both legs and an arm in Vietnam. But the man who avoided the draft several times won. Didn't Leahy support a draft-dodger (Clinton) over a man who lost use of a limb in war (Dole)? Or did he support Dole in 1996?

Leahy is a thuggish man. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and it got very cold in Leahy's office after he found out he lost his chairmanship.

The more I read, hear and see of Senator Leahy, the more contempt I have for him. He is lying to his own constituents here, like he lied to Senator Thurmond about bringing up the Shedd nomination, like he has lied repeatedly before about judges, about programs, and about policy. Leahy looks like a Senator -- the $1,000 suit, the rimless glasses, the wispy white hair. But if his political reality were visible, he'd be as ugly as Michael Moore, or Hillary!, or even James ("Cobra") Carville.
The faster this miserable excuse for a Senator is forceably retired to "Ranking Minority Member" status on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the safer the US Constitution will be.
He will owe an apology to his new colleague, Saxby Chambliss, in January. But then he already owes apologies to all of his honest colleagues, and some of the dishonest ones, as well as to the people of Vermont, the people of the United States, and to generations of Americans as yet unborn, for starters.

...who will loose his chairmanship...It is one thing to see "loose" for "lose" when posting on a forum, but it does not reflect well when used in a column on a purported news-site.
Having said that, Leahy is scum, no doubt about it.

"...was a draft dodger who attacked Sen. Cleland on his patriotism."
Cleland was attacked on his voting record! Two lies! Too bad dueling is no longer acceptable!

"Now, it's going to take a little bit to get over that kind of partisanship."Note to Leahy:
STICK your idea of "partisanship", you panty-waisted little pr*ck.
YOUR party's concept of "partisanship" is anything that goes against what YOU want.
YOUR party's concept of "bipartisanship" means "doing what WE want".
Democrats..........lordie, how I hate 'em.

"Now, it's going to take a little bit to get over that kind of partisanship. Bad news, Senator Leaky, nobody cares whether you "get over" it. Hold your breath til you turn blue, refuse to eat your dinner, roll on the floor screaming and kicking all you want, come next Judiciary Committee Meeting it will be Chairman Hatch, and all those qualified judges are gonna start moving through.
Ain't it cool!

Chambliss received a medical deferment due to a knee injury. Cleland lost both legs and an arm in Vietnam.
Irony.

"The Vermont left-winger, who will loose his chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee within weeks, went on to attack Chambliss...."
Hehehehee. One of the great joys of this election is that we won't have to look at Leahy's pinched up face sitting in that chairman's seat any longer.
