OUTSTANDING Profile !
Dispensing a little "frontier" justice !
Hockey players must sleep soundly at night, having the ability to release all that built up tension and aggression that life seems to dole out...LOL

It's all voluntary isn't it ? Attending school, doing homework, working out, trying out for the team, signing the oath, abstaining from drinking alcohol...No, I can't agree that it's all voluntary.
I will agree that once they signed the note that, if they didn't have a gun to their head making them do it, they should abide by their word.
Some of the rest is mandatory, some is done by coercion, and some is voluntary.

It doesn't matter if they had to sign to play, or signed after playing... they all signed it. They all put their names on the dotted line. I don't know about where you come from, but from where I stand, your name is the most important thing you have... at the end of the day its all you really have. These players showed their names to be worth nothing... Your word is your bond... don't make promises you don't intend to keep.

LOL. It only looks that way because the guy on the bottom has his jersey twisted out of shape. He's got a black jersey with white shoulders. The other one has a white jersey with black shoulders.
BTW, that photo is from two seasons ago -- that's Denny Lambert of the Atlanta Thrashers laying a beating on Ben Clymer of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Morality Backbone Ping!
Could you ping others on the Catholic Caucus list? I don't have a "ping" list. A nice little news bit that others might want to look at!
To: Minnesoootan
"No,they had tookeded." No, the correct gramma is "he done and gone tookeded"

I went to your site and am amazed at the beauty of your pictures. Outstanding. We have a Lake Moraine in our area, too, but it's nothing like yours! Just great. Thank you.

You are preaching to the choir. Not only was the coach a man of character in this story, the parents were a bit of fresh air as well. They didn't file a lawsuit, they didn't bumrush the coach or the school, and they have made comments supporting the coach. We have denigrated as a society (collectively), to the point that yes this is news worthy of trumpeting.

I agree completely. Read my post # 43

The local Catholic high school (a #1 contender) removed itself from league play because there was a really bad hazing incident and those players who did not participate did nothing to stop it. #2 contender, maybe. No one's beating Woodland Hills.

You mean the coach KEPT HIS WORD and DID WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO?
Bravo, coach. You are old school and this country needs more like you.

What's the matter ? I detect an upset. Say it loud say it proud-I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
To: Just another Joe
[W]as it forced upon them just to be able to play?It wasn't "forced" on them unless their physical health or well-being was placed at risk unless they signed it.
