Was Ms Carol promised a lovemaking session with Janet Reno if she helped?

Well, then - there's a perfect opportunity to play both sides. Do everything you can to insure that the NZ Navy has the ability to intercept and sink the sorts of rusty old garbage scows preferred by refugees everywhere, and at the same time, start buying up rusty old garbage scows with an eye towards selling them to refugees down the road. Can't lose.
To: Archie Bunker on steroids
,,, that's Ms Klark. I'm betting you're close to the truth. Janet's gonna take her on a lil red truck tour.

,,, yeah, the Adnan Khoshogi facilitation strategy could make me wealthy.

Now you're thinking big. And in return for this investment tip, I expect to get a ride on the ShaggyJet® every now and then.
Like all middlemen, you probably won't be very popular, but you'll cry all the way to the bank, I'm sure...

The Anzac is armed with one eight-cell Mk 41 vertical launching system for NATO Seasparrow surface-to-air missiles. Seasparrow is a semi-active radar missile with a range of 14.5km. Capacity to launch eight Boeing Harpoon anti-ship missiles is to be added. The main gun is a United Defense 127mm Mk 45 Mod 2 gun, which can fire at a rate of 20 rounds/min to a range of over 20km. Two triple 324mm Mk 32 torpedo tubes for Mk 46 anti-submarine torpedoes are fitted. Mk 46 is an active/passive torpedo with a range of 11km. Plus the Phalanx CIWS Vulcan 6 barrel 20mm cannon to deal with close-in surface and air threats.

<< The New Zealand military faces the same problems as does the Canadian - a small country with a leftist government .... >>
..... AND; let US not forget; as is the case for each of those sorry socialist states and for every member component of the EUROpeon Socialist Soviet; big, responsible, wealthy, and generous neighbors whose Moral Integrity; when push comes to shove; is still intact!
You're right on about New Zealand's soldiers sailors and airmen, though. New Zealanders suffered the highest per capita casualties of all the US allies during the 20th century and as a Nation are still counted among the world's finest Human Beings!

I expect to get a ride on the ShaggyJet® every now and then. ,,, at one stage your Uncle Adnan owned that magnificent small ship that was used in the James Bond movie - can't recall the movie's name. A Japanese guy bought it off him and at one point I think Donald Trump had it - I could be wrong on that detail though.

New Zealand.....played down any link to possible U.S.-led action against Iraq.
LOL! Sounds like my Canadian relatives' response when I told them what a great job
we'd heard about their stone-cold snipers (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry)
doing more than their part in Afghanistan!
My Canadian uncle just said "sounds like those guys are having a bit of fun over there".
Welcome aboard! And I'm sure our Canadian friends on the HMCS Vancouver and Halifax
will have the new kids in fighting-'n-fussin' shape right away.

,,, I've got an idea they'll be in OK shape already. The show never stops.

"I must stress that this deployment is in no way linked to any ongoing controlled sanctions
against Iraq or of any military action unauthorized which might occur against
Iraq," Clark said.
One nosy political question from the USA:
does the timing of this putting a NZ ship into action have anything to do with
the electoral tsunami here in the favor of Pres. Bush?
Just curious, seeing how the French seemed to be come much more amenable to US suggestions
regarding Iraq...and even got a Yes vote from Syria...less than a week after the election.
Political pundits said the election outcome would have international
ramification.
I just find it hard to believe that it's happened this quickly (apparently in some cases).
And MAYBE pushed the NZ guvmint into action...

Oh, I didn't mean to say your boat/seaman wouldn't be up to speed!
Just shootin' the breeze! And great to see them join the club.

,,, this morning's
DOMINION POST front page headlines proclaim that Helen Clark isn't ruling out the inclusion of our miniscule military assets being deployed in a campaign in Iraq. She stresses that this will only occur when all diplomatic efforts thru the UN are exhausted.
My guess is that she's aware of something of significant magnitude being a very real threat to the West or a deserving charity that she's the patron of has received a sizeable contribution.

Oh, I didn't mean to say your boat/seaman wouldn't be up to speed!,,, I know, I was just taking the higher ground for a bit of fun. We're a joke as far as military hardware goes but I'm pleasantly surprised to find significant recognition on this site for the spirit and capabilty of our guys in the military.

"That's it, I'm moving"
I'm not certain but I think as a forienger, you need to have a new worth of about $300,000 to become a citizen.
To: Rebelbase
,,, under the entrepreneurial scheme it takes about $NZ600k - which equates to the $US300k you mention, but it gets you permanent residency. Citizenship takes longer but it's more a formality than a cost.

What a screwed up country I live in. Here we actually pay the illegals when they get here.
