Here we actually pay the illegals when they get here.

,,, that happens here too but they're not illegals, they're refugees. Not a high volume problem - yet.

"I think that one P-3 is the extent of it."

Remember, we're short on those. The Germans and some others were (maybe still are) flying 'cover' for us during the Afghanistan war while our planes were there.

Thank you NZ. Now if we could just get the French to not participate, we won't have to shore up that part of the effort.

I thought NZ got rid of its air force.

Huh? I didn't think the Kiwis were going to get involved.

,,, at one stage your Uncle Adnan owned that magnificent small ship that was used in the James Bond movie - can't recall the movie's name.

Must be the yacht from "Never Say Never Again" - the one with Kim Basinger as a Bond girl, back when all she had to do was look good for the camera, and before she got the impression she could act. I don't know if it's the same boat, but I seem to recall that the Trumpster picked his up from the Sultan of Brunei. I could be misremembering though.

Nice little rig, though. Whaddaya think - US$70, $80 million? Think I'll pick a pair up this weekend - you know, "His" and "Hers" ;)

Yeah, but I'm sure some university there has a Sc.D. program worth a couple of years' residency...

Anything to get away from Detroit, whether or not those 150,000 voters really exist or not...

,,, wouldn't know where to start with the value of something like that. I've seen similar styles but smaller in Monaco.

,,, try University of Otago. The thing about New Zealand is that your dollar buys two of ours. If you're going for a degree, that's a factor worth consideration.

,,, this morning's DOMINION POST front page headlines proclaim that Helen Clark isn't ruling out the inclusion of our miniscule military assets being deployed in a campaign in Iraq. She stresses that this will only occur when all diplomatic efforts thru the UN are exhausted.

My guess is that she's aware of something of significant magnitude being a very real threat to the West or a deserving charity that she's the patron of has received a sizeable contribution.

Considering that this is the woman that claims that there is no threat to NZ and were are living in a benign environment.. I would say that this bitch is hoping this will help out with a Free Trade deal with the US.

Oh, I didn't mean to say your boat/seaman wouldn't be up to speed!
,,, I know, I was just taking the higher ground for a bit of fun. We're a joke as far as military hardware goes but I'm pleasantly surprised to find significant recognition on this site for the spirit and capabilty of our guys in the military.

Strangely enough, our servicemen and women have always had a good reputation amongst their peers from overseas.

Can't say the same for other parts of the NZ Community

,,, she's dreaming. That won't happen until the no nukes policy is dropped.

"A frigate would be sent immediately to join the Canadian-led coalition task group ....." Well now there's two ships!
