Give us our color back - vanity

Two years ago the media printed out a map showing the counties that went for Bush and the counties that went for Gore. They gave Bush the red counties. It has been rumored that the color selection was because blue was given to the incumbents. Republicans are now the incumbents. So we get blue.
This is an open request for any Freeper with a graphics art package who has the time and resources to read in a map of the US counties, and to access the mapping of the county votes. Then, make sure that the Republicans get BLUE!

This needs to be changed. The democrats want to hide behind blue and give Republicans the color red, traditionally the color of International Socialism. If any Freepers can do the work (and I admit I cannot) it would be great to have an updated map. With Republicans in BLUE!

If I knew where to get a list of counties and their votes, I could attempt it. I don't really have anything else to do with my time.

It would be fairly simple to take an existing image and do a color swap with PhotoShop or some other image manipulation program. Post a link to the offending image and I will attempt to fix it.

If you have nothing to do, I have what I think is an interesting project. I was amazed that the State of Florida, which voted for George Bush over AlGore by fewer than 1000 votes (depending upon how you read each chad), elected little brother Jeb to the governorship by a margin of 665,000 votes. From where I sit, (on my ass, I know, I know), I find it hard to believe that so many Gore voters in 2000 would become Jeb Bush voters in 2002, particularly when one considers how "robbed" the dems believed they were, and all the vitriol cooked up by Clinton, Gore, and McAuliffe.
I am fairly sure the difference is due primarily to voter fraud. No, not in 2002, but in 2000. The advent of touch screens and the close watching by our side might have prevented hundreds of thousands of phony or altered votes.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to analyze, on a county by county basis, the 2002 gubernatorial vote as contrasted with the presidential vote two years ago. Here is a head start--2002 ballot by county. Happy hunting.

Your country is only truly 'blue' when there are Dims in power ;-)

I agree. The colors have long histories. Blue is the color of loyalty and faithfulness, as in the proverbial phrase "true blue," or traditional interpretations of the Virgin Mary's cloak.
Red has been the color of Communism and revolution since at least 1848. It suggests anger and blood.
The networks switched the colors for their own good reasons. I fail to see why conservatives should go along with them.

I AGREE.
Let the red hearted commies have their hard earned color from the blood of so many of their victims.

I disagree! "The Red Zone" is an important concept, a uniting force for Pubbies and I would like to keep it that way.

I remember CBS gave Reagan "red" on election night 1984, but it had the effect of making the "blue" District of Columbia win for Mondale almost invisible, so they made DC a blinking white light, which some said looked like the District was yelling "May Day! May Day!"

I have often had the cranky thought that George W. won 3 states that got credited to Gore in 2000: Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Wisconsin. In Philadelphia, for example, there were more registered voters than there were people in certain key (mostly black) precincts. And nobody ever really dug into that.

This is just idle speculation, but I'm willing to bet a large number of Jewish voters who went for Gore in 2000 have recently realized how the left has hoodwinked them all these years.
Their votes are now going to those who will help fight for freedom from islamo-fascists around the world.

Interesting observation inasmuch as that's exactly how they got all those voters... |

Naw, you don't have to draw in the states. Just put a dot on Lambeau Field & I'll find my way home from there.
