And onward they come, like a pack of happily violent completely misinformed all-American barrel-stroking sycophantic wolves, but without the all the grace or beauty or mythology or intelligence.

Salivating at the sound of a rifle shot and cooing at the sight of a Glock .357 and cheering at the spectacle of crusty enfeebled leader Charlton Heston as he struggles with both weakened arms to raise a rifle over his head one last time and croak the group's adorably macho little mantra, "From my cold, dead hands!" Awww.

Please count in George Washington to that list. Oh, and possibly King Edward, who encouraged the use of the long bow. Then perhaps you should add Thomas Jefferson, who even spoke in favor of occassional armed revolts. But don't include the illustrious opponents, such as Bill Clinton, Hellery, that guy who looks like a putz head, Schumer...

Wanting to hold my breakfast, I think I'll stand by Washington. FReegards....

This is an excellent example of projection- it shows far more about the inner workings of the writer's mind than anything he thinks he's addressing.

He's a nutjob, probably stayed up too late the other night pole smoking and whining about the GOP on the DU.

"...cooing at the sight of a Glock .357..."

I have trouble believing that they're this stupid...

I believe that they make these mistakes on purpose.

They wear their dismissive mock ignorance of the 'details' like a badge of honor.

We should do the opposite, and always endeavor to understand as accurately as possible how they think, what they believe in and how their organizations function.

Ignorance, even faux-ignorance, may be bliss but it is not strength.

No. Yours is.

Yeah, hang in there, Comrade. Soon the decadent capitalist system, with its bourgeois freedoms, will come crashing to the ground. The American people will then humbly pay tribute to leftist geniuses like yourself, who alone can provide us with security and real prosperity... NOT!

By the way, Mr. Morford, you write like an adolescent twit.

But the good news is that Michael Moore's subtle and superlative documentary "Bowling for Columbine," all about America's uniquely bizarre obsession with guns and violence, is packing the theaters and setting records for a film of its type.

Yeah.

Glock .357 Sigs are common. Let's face it, an idiot like this has no clue as to the difference between a .357 magnum and a .357 Sig.

Yeah, like a carnival freak show attracts people. People will watch it, have a surge of angst about guns, and then in a month or two forget all about it. Americans are fickle on some things and prone to impulsive behavior, which is why so many abortions are going on. How about a film called 'sucking sounds for baby brandy' showing her doing a ross perot imitation - I bet he would love people to get educated on that topic too. Oh wait, murder by abortionist is a cool in his book....

This is my point.

The exception makes the rule, more so in small arm specifications than in many areas.

If this moron had referred to a Thompson submachinegun in 9mm, equipped with a 'banana' (curved) magazine it wouldn't be because he knew that such a prototype was once actually produced.

He would be attempting to appear ignorant of the 'mere details'.

Anyone else notice that his major argument is identical to a teen-age boy taunting a classmate who buckles his seatbelt, "Oh, wow man. Are you afraid?"

I think you're safe, webboss. Unless you break into his house and try to rape his boyfriend, then you'd probably get hit upside the head with his purse.

I'm heading to the gunshop as soon as the snowplow comes through............need more ammo.
