She can't issue an EO and do away with our CCW gains, can she???
Dem areas:
Alger is in the UP(dem)
Alpena is usually dem, but this is really bad. Bush only lost this area by 300.
Arenac is in the NE lower near Alpena and usually dem
Bay County(and Bay City specifically) is a dem stronghold - Union county. Gore won it by 6,000
Calhoun, Clare are critical swing counties lost
Delta is in the UP
Eaton was a REALLY bad loss for us. That's normally Republican
Genesee County is Flint and its dem suburbs.
Gogbeic is in the UP
Ingham is Lansing and East Lansing
Iosco is in the NE lower area of conservative dems
Iron is in the UP
Isabella swings
Kalamazoo is a critical swing area we lost and big
Lake county is reliably dem.
Marquette is the most dem area in the UP
Muskegon is the dem stronghold of the west.
Oakland is full of eratic and superficial voters.
Ogemaw is in the dem NE lower area
Ontonagon is in the UP - 60% for Bush
Saginaw County is a dem county
Schoolcraft is yooperland
Washtenaw is Ann Arbor and Ypsi
Wayne - DETROIT....
Still bummed though. You promised me good news!! :)
53% in Clinton county is terrible, it's usually up there with 57%+ - Same with Gratiot
Gladwin was a good win in a swing area.
Ionia was weak. 56%? Should be 60%
Lenawae was a tough and good win in a swing area, as was St Clair
Jackson was closer than it should have been
Monroe and Macomb were two BIG wins, that should have won it for us.
Just to bad that the Republican party didn't put some money behind Prop. 1
Sad......guess ole Kwame be getting his way now, huh? Do we see a flashback to the giveaways by Blanchard and milk-toast Milliken(sp?)on the horizon?
Still, Posthumus did a heck of a lot better than I thought he would considering all the slobbering over Grandholm. I wouldn't be gloating too much over this(urban/UAW vacation day)victory.
I live here and it's not that bad.
My street was filled with Gore signs before the 2000 election.
But I have to point out that, after 9-11, *every* house that had their Gore sign on their lawn a year before now had a U.S. flag waving in front of their house.
That means something to me. My neighbors may be commie idiots, but they're Americans. Ain't no evil around here.
