I would assume that the jury didn't see any intent to steal.

This is the best thing that could happer for her career. There is no such thing as bad publicity in Hollywood.

I think that cop was just amused by the whole spectacle.
To: BushMeister
OK, I get it.
Not guilty of burglary (Judge Napolitano says weapons usually involved) but...
Guilty of Grand theft and vandalism.

Well, whatever it means, I hope this young lady gets the help she needs. She is a psychological basket case if she shoplifts for kicks. With all her money, she should be able to get good psych help.
I loved her in "Little Women". After she gets straightened out, I hope she will make more good movies like that one.

Guilty of GRAND THEFT and VANDALISM..........the burglary count would have involved using some type of instrument or weapon. I guess the scissors cutting the tags off didn't quite make it with the jury.
Garagos is not a happy camper.......yyyyyaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy

She probably got convicted of vandalism for tearing the tags off the clothing.
What a world.

Bottom Line = Winona is a convicted felon.Thank you Lord...... for the conviction.

Not guilty of burglary (Judge Napolitano says weapons usually involved) but... They charged her with burglary? I have never in my life heard of a shoplifter charged with burglary. That was a stupid charge. Its obviously vandalism because of the damage, and obviously grand theft since the value of the merchandise exceed the threshold for such a charge.

So what's the penalty?
I guess we'll see a new tactic used by prosecutors and attorneys now: The Top Ten. Apparently the DA used it in this case. 'Twas on the news yesterday. (Slow day before polls closed)
