Chastened, outgoing Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., said, ``It's important for us to take those moments in the current Congress where we've been able to find ways to reach common ground and build on those in the coming Congress.''

Oh, how quickly that little weasle changes his tune!

"OUTRAGEOUS! IT'S OUTRAGEOUS!"

Good post.

However, let's not assume that the GOP's so-called "leadership" learned its lesson over the last two years.

I am assured that vacant-LOTT will continue to push for "power-sharing" and joint chairmanships on all Senate committees - must not appear too partisan don't you know.

And, of course, booby-HATCH will stay with those percepts that play into the dim-0-crat's "delay, delay, ... deny" appointments in Federal judgeships.

Finally, on Jeffords - an office plus staff to fit a broom closet would be my choice - right next to Tubba's and Chuckie's

I wonder what's in store for Jeffords?

"`We finally have this monkey off our back that we cannot conduct a proper election in Florida,' Smith said."

It's a confirmed sighting of the Rally Monkey.
