So how was Rush? I stayed up to watch him gloat, then local NBC affiliate cut to stupid local Dem (Holden) U.S. Congressman victory speech in which his Rep opponent (Gekas) had just called him to say he is NOT conceding . . . should be interesting tomorrow . . . so anyway, how did Rush do?

He did great. Was very gracious, pointed out nice things - was NOT arrogant at all. Talked about how the economy was linked to security and to the Iraq issue. He also gave advice for the republicans: 'Don't Gloat'. Execellent job - he is less arrogant on TV than on radio.

MO is ours, as is the Senate!

Rush did fine, basically stated that the Dems had no real strategy, have been belittling and attacking Bush for most of the 2 years, and will have to regroup and come up with a new message. Gave his speech about the mistakes of the GOP after 1994, advised them to not be arrogant this time and to analyze this election correctly. Suggested that the GOP needs to stand firm on what they believe and move on the domestic front, but not to be cocky. Said he was wrong in his criticism of Bush's new tone.

His best comment of the night was in the first segment, when he gave his oft repeated speech of the Dems had been successful by demonizing Republicans, but that people now know and like Bush, thus they lost their main strategy. At the same time Rush came across as a reasonable debater of ideas, not an ogre. Which made me mad as hell when that bastard Brokaw ended the segment with a snide backhand remark toward Rush.

Rush did very well, and his first segment(most watched) was very powerful.
