Voted this morning in Dayton, Ohio and hoping to send Mike Turner to DC to fill Tony Halls seat.
I have never stood in line but had to this morning. My area is a real mix of people; rich, poor, black, Jewish, middle class so its hard to get a trend except its heavier than usual.

At my polling place, two lines each about 25 deep at 9:30am. My husband said about the same for him at 7am. Went back to pick up my daughter from am Kindergarten at 11:30-still no parking! Looks like heavy turnout here in very far south Chandler-
Let's send NapoliReno packing!!!!

Voted straight Republican ticket here in Iowa this morning at 7:00am. Have never voted for a democrat in my life and can see no reason to start.
Absentee program here in Iowa on behalf of democrats may hurt the GOP here badly.

You are so right. I really wanted to vote straight Right to Life, but no way am I going to feel responsible for McCall winning (as unlikely as they say that is). I also think a strong Republican turnout sends a message to the Clinton's.

Thank You for the welcome..one great thing about living in Mass..is that we get to listen to people like Jay Severin..on 96.9 FM..he is working to get the vote out and tell the truth about how the Democrats will steal your vote if you let them... I called 4 more people to get them to vote...every little bit helps!

Manatee Co. FL update: Plucked my Jeb! sign from my yard, drove over to Pubbie HQ in Bradenton--where there were no signs to be had. Reported that a 2+ block stretch of road on either side of my precinct was loaded with 'Rat candidate signs, and nothing conservative in sight.
Nothing gained at Pubbie HQ, so I drove back to my precinct, and asked the security door man and another poll worker if there was a particular reason there were no conservative signs roadside--especially since there was a visible table in the parking lot with a huge sign, "Democratic Voter Support."
Precinct workers said no signs had been placed by conservatives, security said he had been watching all day. I asked if I could place my lonely Jeb! sign, and was enthusiastically told yes. Let's see if it is still there when I drive by again at 5:30pm.
Whew!

Sorry if someone else posted this..I'm 27 posts behind and didn't think it could wait.
This from another thread:
"ORLANDO, Fla. -- A problem with ballots at a polling location in Osceola County, Fla., Tuesday may have caused votes to be rejected, according to Local 6 News.
"Local 6 News reported that an unknown number of ballots at a Precinct 11 polling place reportedly did not contain Congressional District 15.
"Election workers switched out the ballots and put the errorneous [sic...I didn't know it was Florida law to replace ballots with erroneous ballots] ballots into an emergency compartment per Florida law, Local 6 News reported. However, people who voted before the switch was made apparently had their ballot rejected"
"The Supervisors of Elections office in Osceola County, Fla., is urging anyone who voted at at the Merry "D" campground early Tuesday morning to go back to the polls before 7 p.m. tonight."

Er, maybe you should do some research before spouting off. The DemocRats have punted the VA Senate election -- the candidates listed on the ballot are John W. Warner (Republican), Jacob G. Hornberger, Jr. (Libertarian), and Nancy B. Spannaus (LaRouchie Loon).

OK. I voted--some Rep., some Indep., NO DMORATS. Wife, a non-freeper voted. Son, non-freeper will vote.

North Dallas Texans, get out and vote! My polling place had a pretty light turnout at lunchtime, so I know some people still have their duty to do. Don't take anything for granted this go-around - get out there and make your voice heard LOUD AND CLEAR!

Our ballot had maybe 6 offices & two referrendums on it...Pretty quick job to finish.
There were no punch cards here...These ballots were pencil-in, computer read, high school achievement test types. I could just as well have taken the Straight Republican Ticket, but one state senate office had a single Republican vs two Dems and asked us to select two, so I had to take a moment to write one in.

Tuck her in bed and give her a big hug and say Thanks from us Freepers will you!
Hope she gets to feeling better :o)
Between her and the Longhornfreeper I think they both should win a prize for the most dedicated Freepers on Election Day!

Proud to vote conservative in the state of Michigan bump

Thank you, but I wasn't kidding about him killing me. He's out right now dragging neighbors to the polls and calling others on his cell phone. He even checks after elections and yells at his friends who didn't vote. Other than Thanksgiving I think this is his favorite time of the year.
