The very best of all the articles written about the Democrats in Minnesota who did everything but ululate and rend their clothes at the Wellstone "rally," was Peggy Noonan's column in the Wall Street Journal's Opinion Online. While I admire Steyn, Noonan was the champ on this subject.

Her column was not merely good, it was perfect. It knocked my off my chair. I printed it out and reread it several times. It was still excellent. So I wrote my column this week in reaction to hers. See the first link, below.

I am fully in agreement about Noonan's column. It was not only perfect, it was written in such a way that any Demodog who started to read it is likely to have read it to the end. I hope they actually then thought about it, and the seed she planted sprouts and grows in many of them for years to come.
