NJ has within its borders a scandal which makes the Clinton/Lewinsky matter a walk in the park. The press has danced around the real issue. It will be revealed that what has occured in the Garden State is a scandal of the greatest importance. It will lead to the resignation of its current Governor James McGreevey due to his abuse of office and the NJ tax payers to prop up Golan Cipel. The nature of their real relationship is on the verge of breaking into the spotlight. This will be earth shattering.
alot of people knew about this - in fact, I have some NJ friends who know even more about the extent of his activities. the entire press corp covering NJ politics knew about this, and knows alot more to this day.
so far, it looks like McG did himself some good with this stunt - his approval rating is up 3 points according to a story I heard tonight.
Yeah, it's all in good fun...I've been caught before too!
What's interesting now is the deepthroatnnj posted this article, then replied once (post #22) then has never been back to FR (no posts at least).
Clearly this was somebody who knew/knows something and needed to get it out somewhere. God Bless FR!!!

Well, that's insane, but it sounds typically East Coast, where corruption is celebrated.
So, if there's more sleaze, why aren't the bloggers and independent media all over this greaseball? Time to bring him down now, not Nov. 15th.

Since my source was the Courier News, that newspaper must have been giving McGreevey some serious cover. Meanwhile, I notice that you have 20-20 hindsight, two years after the fact. I'm not aware that you had done any fact-checking at the time or since. Or have I missed something?
I agree - now is the time to dump everything on him. Let's see what the coming week brings.

the so-called harrasment is just the recent case regarding Cipel. McG has been bi-sexual, going back to when he was mayor of woodbridge, and likely before (hence his first divorce).

Thanks. It took so long to surface because the press wasn't interested in the story. What's happend is that Cipel was appartnly exotorting McGreevy, and McGreevy was going to be in big trouble for some other things. His resigning is a brilliant political move. After a few months all that will be remembered of him is that the gay governor had to resign because society is so homophobic. In a few years he will run for the Senate.
