I see you picked the ,"BEST", Cruise Line. I have been on 4 dirrerent ones and Carnival is definitely the best overall. I wish I could go, but right now I am still paying for my last cruise to the Scandinavian Countries in Sept. If I saw my way to go, it would be in 2 or 3 months. Sounds like a lot of fun. A boat full of Pubbies. I will have to tell my hardnose democRAT In-laws about this and invite them to go. LOL

Very well said Leni!

This year, as was the case with the cruise last year, no one involved in the planning or organizing of the event recieved a free trip or any other incentives. Any funds or benefits received go directly to the FRN.

You will miss a fantastic time if you don't go...

I'm hoping VOC & I will be able to make it. We have a couple of events that might come through in the next couple of weeks so I can't commit yet. But, if those events don't happen, we will be there to have a FReepin' Fantastic Time!

Thanks. I hate seeing my name in print in conjunction with needing the help of a thirteen step program for addiction to Freeping.

May 31,
2003 Miami, FL Carnival / Carnival Triumph 4.0 $1,649 $799 52% Savings.

This pricing is from the Carnival Brochure - retail, and then Vacations to go.com's discounted price.

It would seem that the Cruise committee has done an excellent job with the freep-price. Thanks for all your efforts for us. JL

Nice eye, Loddie!

Clap yo hands, stomp yo feet
FRN's cruise rates can't be beat!
Tote that barge, lift that bale
Feed piggy bank, and off we'll sail!

Oh, dear, forgive me, Dighton!
(freeper Dighton being the Major General of the FR Light Verse Brigade)

I checked Orbitz.com (One of the best "deal" finders) and their price for this sailing was also $799 - we may need to engage the CruiseCommittee as our travel agent people. ;-)

Has anyone discussed an Alaskan cruise? I would love to see the ice bergs calving one of these days, and the Caribbean can only be done so many times before it gets a bit tired, imo.

Now would I do that, hummmmmmmmmmmmm. It's supposed to be an Upper Case D and S, but for some reason when I signed up, Jim entered it as a lower case. Never could get it changed.

Be nice to see the effects of global warming up close & personal. Nothin' more "conservative" than that. ;-)

heheh - absolutely correct. My conservative self is getting the grill going, the beef tenderloin is marinading and I'm giving God thanks for everything we enjoy here. Cheers, and a great evening to you and yours!

Hey, freepers! Don't forget to click on the Bahama Mama Q & A thread every once in while. New info on the cruise will be posted regularly. Yo Mama just put up an answer regarding kids' programs aboard ship.

Guess what? Not only did the organizers (FRN) pay for their own way through the Professional Travel Agent (not affiliated with FR/FRN)That Handled All The Money, but they also paid more by providing extras out of their own pockets.
(You'd be shocked, not only at the size of those expenses, but how graciously extras were offered, without anything expected in return)

NOT ONE PENNY went to any of our rooms or upgrades. Anyone who upgraded paid for it out of their own pocket. How insulting for you to imply any of the FRN personally gained from that cruise. You underestimate the caliber of people involved. Ask anyone who knows me. Nobody pays my way but me, and I'll bet I've even paid the way for an exFReeper or two that you know.

If it matters any to you, which I doubt it does, you are listening to all the wrong people.
