Veteran's Day Parade Idea - Sunday, Nov. 10 - San Francisco

Sunday, November 10, the annual Veteran's Day Parade will take place from 1-3 PM in San Francisco.

KSFO.COM is looking for volunteers to help carry a large American flag along the parade route. Click on the link for info.

I had an idea. Maybe Bay Area FReepers could march in the parade as a group. (We could have some signs - "FREEREPUBLIC.COM SALUTES OUR VETERANS!," etc. and/or pass out small fliers to let people know to visit the USO Canteen FReeper Style.) I don't know if it's too late to inquire, but, if someone is interested in finding out regarding groups marching, here is the website for the Parade organizers - San Francisco Veterans' Affairs Commission

If no one wants to do that, maybe we can march along with KSFO.

Lastly, would anyone be interested in helping me pass out some fliers?

The parade starts at Market and 2nd St., goes along Market St., to the reviewing stand in front of City Hall.

Anyone interested? : )
