LONDON (Reuters) - Three people were injured after a type of incapacitating gas was released at a British amusement park on Thursday, police said.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said police were called to the Chessington World of Adventures park, southwest of London, by ambulance workers who said three people had inhaled an unidentified gas and were suffering some discomfort.
``We think it could possibly be CS gas but are awaiting confirmation,'' she said. The injured were being treated at the scene but their condition was not life-threatening.
She said the gas was believed to have been set off by someone waiting in a queue for one of the rides. No arrests had been made.
CS gas is a powerful incapacitating gas used in warfare and riot control. The sufferer experiences a burning sensation in the eyes, nausea, vomiting and difficulty in breathing.
No details were available on the ages of the victims.
Same thing used to happen at Big Bertha's Bar and Beanery every Sunday morning.
