[history]
1st District (Detroit between the Detroit River and McNichols and parts of River Rouge): Republican Hillary's Lovely Legs, a political newcomer, is challenging Democrat Hansen Clarke, a term-limited state representative. Although Clarke favors re-evaluating the Single Business Tax, Lovely Legs seems to be the more serious of the two about lowering the overall tax burden on Michigan residents. Lovely Legs would also go further in allowing parents trapped in failing public schools some assistance to move. For these reasons, she gets our endorsement.

I am serving baked brie with granny smith apple wedges, chocolate mousse and champagne. I am also planning on a fabulous filet and lobster dinner at our finest restaurant. I have been eating so little since the primary and lost so much weight that it's time to relax and bulk up.

WWOOOOOO HHOOOOOOOOOOOOO....GO HLL

Go, HLL, GO!!! And best of luck to another friend here running in a corn state. May we have a wonderful next Tuesday!
I just got back from voting absentee today. I feel very proud, as I do every time I vote.
I was in Naples, FL earlier this week and took two friends to the polls to vote absentee - got to see a demo on their new touch voting machines. ANYBODY could vote EASILY on one of these. Allegedly, all the bugs have been worked out of them, according to the guy at the polling place - the machine I saw was different from the ones they had trouble with in the primaries.
Anyone here that wasn't embarrassed by the Wellstone Memorial Service? What was up with that? My jaw was on the floor for the few minutes that I watched. I couldn't help comparing it to Barbara Olson's funeral, which was reverential and honored her relationships with her family, friends, and God. I finally figured out that the socialist mantra has no God, and therefore they worship humanity. What did you guys think?

Thanks a bunch - yesterday was brutal on FR, but evidently JohnRob has things running great guns again.
I've got my local candidate's tee shirt on, so I can go to the grocer and the gun shop and get her some free advertizing before the election - come on pubbies, let's roll those 'rats.

RBA, coming from you I am going to take your endorsement as a big compliment. Thanks so much.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
No problem, although I don't live in that area! Are you a Lions fan?
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Not a Lions fan, big Wolverine and Red Wings fan. I happen to live a couple blocks from Steve Yzerman, so I get to see the cup when it makes it's rounds.

I finally figured out that the socialist mantra has no God, and therefore they worship humanity. What did you guys think? I was wondering where the golden statue of clintoon was. One of the most revolting things I've seen since the Al and Tipster tonsil hockey match at the convention.
Dims are really spinning out of control and it's so much fun to watch! They keep shooting themselves in the foot over and over. I'm thinking divine intervention.
Next Tuesday is going to be a very good day. :-)

"big Wolverine (fan)"for which I forgive you!

I would like to ask everyone to please contact their state or county GOP and work the phone banks this weekend. We have to ASK people for their votes. We can take no one for granted, if we ask, they will vote.
In August I rented a car. I asked the guy who picked me up for the rental to vote for me and gave him my card. A month later he asked me to his home for a BBQ so I could talk to his friends. There were about 20 people there, all democrats and all who will now vote GOP because I didn't take them for granted. I ask everyone to vote and to vote for the GOP. Even when I picked up a fuse for my car, I got into a conversation with the clerk, and picked up another vote.
Wear a pin, talk to people, ASK for their vote. The worse they can say is no.
To: BigWaveBetty; Hillary's Lovely Legs
WOW ! I had no idea she was running! That is awful, I should have!
HLL, good luck on Tuesday! We are all rooting and praying for you to win!

Thanks for posting page 6. I really like our President you know, as a person! I admire and respect him as a President, but he is also just a nice, caring, decent human being too!
