A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/30/02
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 10/30/2002 7:13:53 PM PST by rintense

Today, President Bush announced a proposal to expedite Senate confirmation of his judicial nominees. Of Bush's 131 nominees, the Senate has only voted on 80. The Judiciary Committee has rejected two nominees, Charles Pickering of Mississippi and Priscilla Owen of Texas. Of course, Patrick Leahy used the Democratic buzzword of this election year by stating the President was 'politicizing' the judicial selection process to create a partisan campaign issue. In brighter news, the White House hosted a 'Radio Days' today where national radio talk shows were given access to Bush administration. Once again, the Democrats cried that the White House gave special treatment to conservative radio shows in order to promote their election year agenda... blah, bla, blah blah blah.

Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I will, knowing that the Democrats are in a hissy fit today.

Bad day for the RATS. Last nights disgraceful display seems to have backfired. I listen to C_Span on the way to work and I never heard so many democrats denounce their party as I did today. I must say.....RIGHGTFULLY SO

I merely thumbed through the issue today in the doctor's office. The cover article seemed somewhat anti-Bush, so I didn't care to rush out and buy a copy. I think this is the article about the Republican Party's "part owner", as the writer put it, although the title doesn't match the cover headline: Can you name the most influential Republican in Texas? It's not Rick Perry or any other elected official. It's James Leninger, a little-known San Antonio physician whose ideology and millions are pushing the GOP to be more conservative than ever.

The server is terrible tonight. I have posted several posts and none have made it to the thread. Don't know if this one will.

I think this is the article, although it has a different title than the cover headline. I didn't buy the magazine, just thumbed through it at the doctor's office. Click the link: Mr. Right
