Mr. Lautenberg Goes to Washington. Maybe. The Democrats, Hypocrisy and the N-Word
By Murray Sabrin
According to the latest poll of the New Jersey U. S. Senate race, Frank Lautenberg will be elected on November 5th. With just more than a week to go, it may take a miracle for Doug Forrester to overcome Mr. Lautenberg's 10-point lead. This was not the script that was playing out this year.
After Channel 4 (WNBC) in New York aired a riveting 40 minute interview with David Chang in prison, Senator Torricelli abandoned his campaign on September 30th, because ethical charges were sinking his candidacy faster than the demise of the Titanic after it hit an iceberg in the north Atlantic 90 years ago. Mr. Chang, meanwhile, is serving a prison sentence for making illegal contributions to Senator Torricelli's 1996 campaign.
Although the legal deadline passed for a substitute candidate to be named, the state Supreme Court ignored the statute allowing the Democrats to replace Senator Torricelli with Mr. Lautenberg on the ballot. Mr. Lautenberg then entered the race.
Doug Forrester would have won the election if Senator Torricelli had stayed in the race or if he had withdrawn and the Democrats were unable to replace him. However, now that the Supreme Court refused to uphold the election statutes, Mr. Forrester may be the victim of his own success. He defeated Senator Torricelli, fair and square, and may lose to his replacement.
Besides refusing to debate Doug Forrester no more than a couple of times on television, "moderate" Frank Lautenberg is a hard-core leftist. (In New Jersey, hard-core leftists are called moderates, while pro-constitution candidates are called extremists). Despite his great wealth, estimated to be at least $50 million, Frank Lautenberg voted consistently to redistribute income from New Jersey families to southern, mid-western and western states, while he was in the U.S. Senate (1983-2001).
In short, Mr. Lautenberg believes the federal government should milk New Jersey families for the benefit of our fellow citizens around the country. And he wants to go the Senate to continue the federal government's rip-off of New Jersey's families. Incredibly, the people of New Jersey concur!
Meanwhile, there is a side of Mr. Lautenberg that has been noted in press profiles, yet reporters have not told the whole story because they do not know it or they're shielding him from scrutiny.
On one campaign stop during the 2000 U.S. Senate primary I met with the head of an organization that relayed the following incident about then Senator Lautenberg. This individual and his colleagues met with the senator to get his assistance about a federal government policy. In their conversation the senator used the N-word to describe blacks living in Newark. He used the N-word not just as a descriptive term but in a pejorative way, as in those n*****s are lazy and dumb. I was stunned, to say the least. I asked, " Are we talking about the same Frank Lautenberg, a "champion" of the poor, minorities, women, and anyone else that was looking for a government program". He said emphatically, "Yes".
Since then, several other individuals have told me the same thing: Frank Lautenberg uses racial epithets to describes minorities. (I called Mr. Lautenberg's press secretary to get his reaction. He did not call me back.)
In his Wall Street Journal column on October 14th, liberal Albert Hunt, wrote this about Frank Lautenberg:
"Mr. Lautenberg retired from the Senate three years ago, telling friends he was sick of fund raising. He has since said it was a huge mistake. When his old archenemy Bob Torricelli quit in disgrace, he jumped at the opportunity to step up. He is a tough, sometimes mean-spirited, candidate who will wage a no-holds-barred campaign." (Emphasis added)
In his upcoming weekly syndicated column to appear in the Courier in a few days and read by more than 500,000 readers in New Jersey, award-winning journalist Gordon Bishop writes:
"I have personally known and worked with Frank Lautenberg as a columnist and special writer at The Star-Ledger from 1969 to 1996. Lautenberg comes on like a harmless oaf, but he has a mean streak and is ready to use foul words against those who stand in his way, whether they are white, black, liberal, or conservative". (Emphasis added).
Frank Lautenberg has a "mean streak" who uses "foul language" to describe people of all races and all political persuasions, including those in his own party. Yet, the Black Ministers Council has endorsed Mr. Lautenberg. If Revered Jackson, the executive director of the Council, knows about Mr. Lautenberg's verbal assaults, he has some explaining to do. If he doesnt know about Mr. Lautenberg's racist language, will his organization now withdraw its endorsement?
And what will Mr. Lautenberg's fellow Democrats say about his colorful language? If they ignore it, they will reveal the hypocrites that they are. If a column were written about a Republican using this kind of language, you can be sure the Democrats' press releases would be nonstop calling upon the candidate to drop out of the race, attend "sensitivity" classes, and above call, blasting the GOP for harboring a "racist".
No political party has a monopoly in hypocrisy. However, the sanctimonious Democrats are always ready to use the "race card" against Republicans to win elections, if the opportunity arises. Let's see if the Democrats will call upon one of their own to fess up.

Here it is, not only is Frank a left-wing liberal demoncrat, he is a racist and a hypocrite. How many years of his "Adult" life did he live in Paterson, NJ, a name he drops in most of his speeches while trying to get the black vote.

Lautenberg is a very not nice guy, and he was a complete non entity in the Senate. When he came up for reelection they would put his name on a bill, and this accounts for his two or three "accomplishments" that are constantly cited. If people would think they would realize that in 18 years Frank Lautenberg was a nothing. At least Torricelli got out front on some major issues. Lautenberg just enjoyed the comfy ride. He is a wealthy arrogant nasty individual.

There is a poll of "motivated and likely voters," meaning those who say they've voted in the last two elections, and whose demographics indicate they are likely to turn out this time. This poll indicates that the margin is just 4%, just outside the margin of error. It was posted on FR early today, but I don't have the link. The short of it is, Forrester's voters are more motivated and likely to turn out. This is still a horse race. It is uphill, but it is NOT out of reach.

Maybe some Freepers should show up at Lautenberg's next appearance and start chanting, "Dead man walking," like in the Green Mile.

Forrester needs to ask Frank, "If you win do you intend to serve the entire 6 year term?". "If not, why are you running?". Hammer the old man with this question.

If only this were true ...However, now that the Supreme Court refused to uphold the election statutes, Mr. Forrester may be the victim of his own success. In actuality, the NJ subpremes wrote a new statute, as opposed to merely not upholding a legally derived law. Sadly, the despotic democrat NJ party knew prior to the torch resignation exactly how much aid they would get from the NJ subpremes and acted accordingly.

Voter Guide for the November 5th election, just follow these
simple steps:
#1 Vote for all the Republican candidates.
#2 If a demonrat is unopposed by a Republican, vote for any other parties candidate.
#3 If the demonrat is unopposed, and you are allowed a write in, write in any other name.
#4 If #1, #2, and #3 don't apply, do not vote in that race. Vow to run as a candidate yourself in the next election or support someone who will!

I agree, he was an ineffective and impotent Junior Senator from NJ. That's his legacy. He did nothing for his so-called home town of Paterson, NJ. They made Lowell, MA a national park right under his nose while the Great Falls Historic District received NOTHING.

He also wasnt able to bring home the federal tax dollars due to the residents of NJ, NJ went from 46th to 50 during his tenure in bringing home federal dollars while his buddy, Senator Robert C. Byrd from W. Virginia, the former KKK Grand Wizard was number one. Why did Frank allow a former Grand Wizard of the KKK to bring home New Jerseys money?
Let's face it, he voted for taxes, against guns, for abortion, against the CIA and FBI, against missile defense, against the repeal of the marriage penalty tax and against the repeal of the estate tax.
Comrade Lautenberg did nothing except push his cause.

YAWN! If Forrester REALLY wants to win, all he has to do is make a 10-minute phone call to Howard Stern.

Yep, you got that right. Bob helped Whitless get elected when he was on WABC, then Bob made a joke about Ron Brown and Whitman and Giuliani dropped him like a hot potato. WABC fired him and the following month WOR picked him up and he's been great ever since.
I've been listening to Grant for years and have encouraged Forrester to appear on his show and to appear on the Howard Stern Show as: Giuliani, Patacki, D'Amato, Whitman, etc. did. And the all won their elections. Do you live in NJ?
I met Bob at a Bret Schuldler event last year.

Hey, the REPUBLICANS pulled the same crap last year when Bret Schundler was running in the primary against Acting Governor Donald D. "Donnie D." DiFiasco.
DiFiasco dropped out due to corruption rumors and the REPUBLICANS violated the law and extended the Primary date to the end of June so their newly appointed candidate, Bob Franks, could campaign and get name recognition.
Well, it backfired giving Schundler more time to get his message out. Bret won the Primary and the REPUBLICANS hosted meet and greets for............. McSleazy.
