President Bush headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico today to join the prime ministers, presidents and representatives of the 21 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation nations during the APEC summit. Bush spoke to the media while he visited with Mexican President Vicente Fox, and reiterated that the US is prepared to strike Iraq on its own if the UN does not decide on a resolution. The President also addressed immigration issues by stating, "The long-term answer for the migration issue is to work in a way that encourages commerce on both sides of the border so people can find jobs here in Mexico, for starters. That's the long-term solution." Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

This is my art student daughter, who spent a month in Europe early this summer.

Her apartment lease is up and she will graduate in January, so it made sense for her to come home until she decides whether she is going to work (I hope) or grad school. Either way she will need to move to a different location, so she will be staying with us for a few months (along with her cats...LOL).

I am glad to have her home for a bit, but we are a trifle crowded, since most of her furniture is in the garage. My husband is a patient sort.

That's right, now I remember .. my brain is still sleepy from staying up late watching the DC Rally on C-Span ..

WOW .. summer .. this year sure did fly by fast or what.

He'd make a great President, IMO, but his mom doesn't want to be that worried about him!

Not to mention he probably wouldn't be too thrilled to know the Bushbots are busy mapping out his life plan, lol.

The reporter is whining about not having access to Bush on the ranch, blah blah

LOL, does he think the press should be allowed to ring the doorbell anytime they want to talk to the President? IMO, W was very clever setting up his out of the way ranch retreat.

YOU are the moron!!!!!!!

Now, that wasn't a very nice thing to say. Have you ever considered anger management therapy, Dork?

Ah, I see. They rejected you and now your psyche is permanently damaged. The job is great, thanks for asking. It's only 5 hours a day (if I don't count lunch). I am learning all sorts of new things that normal people know how to do (like send a fax, lol). It's with an arts non-profit so I'm meeting some VERY interesting people. Well, I'm off to catch the last half of the Cowboy game. Praying today Emmitt breaks Walter Payton's rushing record. There will be partying in Dallas tonight!

LOL, thank you! My computer skills need some work. I'm really, really good at email and posting, but Excel is giving me fits. Luckily I have an intern to give the hard stuff too -- she's good!

Oh, I hope she has nice cats, Miss Marple!

I remember well your daughter's excellent adventure in Europe! I'm sure that she's thankful to be able to 'crash' at home while she gets her future mapped out. You're a good Mom, Miss Marple (and Mr. M, is obviously a good Dad as well!)

The one thing I've learned over the past few years is that your kids are always your kids, no matter how old they are!
