Russians storm theater Captors were 'liquidated,' officials say By John Daniszewski and David Holley By John Daniszewski and David Holley Los Angeles Times
MOSCOW -- Police commandos armed with sleeping gas and blazing guns stormed a theater here early today and overcame Chechen separatists holding about 700 hostages. Authorities said they were forced to launch the rescue after rebels began to kill captives. The leader of the hostage-takers and around 30 of his companions were "liquidated," officials said. There was still no official word about the toll among the hostages. An Australian diplomat was told that the number was no more than 10, and that none of the estimated 75 foreigners were among the dead. But a police officers said he saw "a lot of corpses."

When is the World going to get its head out of it's tailpipe and realize that these Islamics beleive they have a right granted under these psychotic muhalla's fatwahs to kill every Christian, every Hindu, every Jew, every Bhudist, every Taoist; infact each and every man, woman and child who dies not beleive as they do about any issue they choose!
That's one of the things that bugs me. Like some sick and twisted Ghepetto the Islamic clerics that run the Mosques carve out their little evil puppets of destruction and set them lose. And so far, they have been able to do this without any retribution.
Imagine someone like Billy Graham standing before worshipers and encouraging them to go our and kill. You can't. Because Christianity has this pecky "thou shalt not kill" rule.
Any Mosque and it's leader that encourages it's butt sniffers to kill innocents should be bulldozed. Preferably with the leader still inside.

Thank goodness this is over for them. I figured a lot more deaths would ensue. I'm so glad the Russians got at least 600 out of there.
God rest the souls of the good folks who were murdered.

"... How involved do you think the President of the UNited States of America, or any governor of any state is in the daily mundane and normal operations of federeral agencies? ..."Thank you wita. I'm collecting epitaphs for our Republic--as a hobby, you understand.
This is one of the best I've read all week.....

Gary said it beautifully, blam. Thanks for bringing that article in.
I have problems with "all" Muslems, though. I do have the sweetest brother-in-law you would ever want to meet who is a Muslem. He was born in New Delhi, India. He's never tried to spread the Islamic faith to anyone in my huge family. His son has been raised Christian.
His uncle who is also Muslim always came to my house at Christmas. I suppose some Muslims don't follow the Koran as vehemently as others.
Just my thought.

My point was that no matter which "party" is in power---republican or democrat--there is a seamless policy; all the strum and drang of the "election process" notwithstanding. The savage bigotted profiling of "white (christian) gun nuts" by Federal agencies will continue no matter which party is in power because that is the
cultural mindset of the kingdom of Washington DC. And to a tragic extent that mindset has been internalized by a shocking number of Americans out in the "hinterlands"...
And speaking of the the man who replaced Ma Richards---did he ever make any comments about the siege of WACO? Was he ever even asked? And does he really believe that "islam is a peaceful religion"? Or is he just saying that--as so many Bush believers around here maintain--because he afraid of a brutal backlash by white, christian gun nuts?
Oooops. There's that cultural mindset again.....

Also, observe how the bureacracy continues to reward its own with bonuses and promotions no matter what debacle has occured. Larry Potts after Ruby Ridge; the bimbo in charge of granting Attah and the boyz visas. Etc. etc. By the way, why is the current head of the CIA still firmly in the saddle? Do you really believe---as he claimed at the congressional investigations--that the CIA did "all it could" leading up to September 11th?

Any Mosque and it's leader that encourages it's butt sniffers to kill innocents should be bulldozed. A tall order! How many mosques will desist from preaching the basic tenet of Islamic jihad? Islam is intended for everyone and for all time. And killing comes easy for the religioon of peace.

Don't you get it? Islam is a peaceful religion as long as the women are beaten, the boys buggered, and the infidels killed.

I'm not exactly sure if you are referring to my unclear comments. If so, may I referr you to wita's brilliant, if perhaps unintentional, insight in post #50?
...How involved do you think the President of the UNited States of America, or any governor of any state is in the daily mundane and normal operations of federeral agencies?...
This is the heart of the ongoing calamity. Our government is now thoroughly bureaucritized. It exists to preserve, exapand and reward itself no mattter who is in "power".
I do apologise to all for pointing out the obvious. That seems to upset a great many people....
I will now go back to being happy that the Russians were able to spare as many lives as they did. And, of course, to waiting for the next "urelated" incident which will ulitmately have been paid for by Americans who worship their oillah and love to submit to it.....

Bits and pieces.
Apart from the 36 terrorists killed in the assault, four more have been recently apprehended
-- two of them had been inside the building among the hostage takers, two outside --
accomplices.
One terrorists was caught outside the building when he escaped from the building, having
changed into the clothes of one of the hostages. He approached the NTV crew and tried to
contact his accomplices by phone but was identified and apprehended.
Doctors who have examined the bodies of dead terrorists are saying that there are
numerous syringe punctures on their bodies. Drug addicts, most of them.
Special force officers are saying that the hostages inside the building had given them
valuable information about the position of the terrorists in the building, which helped the
officers to liquidate them before they could blow up explosives charges, of which there
were about 30. According to the officers, the charges could have destroyed not only the
theater but also the neighboring buildings.
Apart from the explosives, found in the building were masses of small arms and even big
calibre machine-guns and suitable ammo, which indicates careful preparations for the
terrorist act.
Ralllies are being held in Chechnya in support of the actions of federal authorities, NTV
reports. At the same time President Putin gave strict instructions to Interior Minister
Gryzlov to take all measures to prevent outbreaks of anti-Chechen and anti-Caucasian
feeling.
The list of terrorists being apprehended is growing -- some are discovered among the
hostages taken to hospitals. Some 10 terrorists are said to have escaped for the time
being.
President Putin visited the Sklifosovsky emergency medical institute (popularly known as
Sklif) where some of the worst affected hostages are treated. Putin talked to a 15-year old
lad who only wanted to take a shower bath and brush his teeth, he said.
There was one Israeli woman among the hostages, whose nationality was kept a secret for
fear of being identified and killed by the terrorists. She appears to be safe and sound.

From what I understand, the brilliance of the plan was that they didn't attempt to deliver the gas quickly, but instead slowly over a long period. Hence the terrorists didn't realize what was taking place. I believe that they used the broken water pipe, and there was reports of the hostages being nauseated and passing out during the last day.

Who was governor of the Great State of Texas at that time?Whaaat? Are you serious?
That statement alone proves that you are more left than right, a thought that has occurred to me more than a few times when reading your posts. You have your facts wrong --- a leftist trait --- but that doesn't stop you from shooting your mouth off anyway --- another staple of the leftist diet.

Ah, cheerful as usual this morning, I see. Bureaucratic cultures are slow to change, as most people realize. This is not attributable to the fact that there are two political parties in our government which you apparently believe are interchangeable.
Instead, it is the nature of bigness, and it is true of ALL big organizations, whether you are speaking of Mobil Oil, the Catholic Church, the California University system, or the FBI. This is why I believe in smaller government (also smaller organizations in general).
You cannot dodge the fact, however, that you were ignorant of who was governor of Texas during Waco, and really thought you had a zinger for all the Bush supporters. All the spin in the world isn't going to get you out of the hole you dug for yourself. HAR!

I wish President Putin could instruct the American corporate media to tone down their anti-caucasian feeling....

Russia we are grieving with you... Prayers for the families of the deceased and all hell upon the heads of those associated with this act of terrorism.
