Ah, cheerful as usual this morning, I see. Bureaucratic cultures are slow to change, as most people realize. This is not attributable to the fact that there are two political parties in our government which you apparently believe are interchangeable.

Instead, it is the nature of bigness, and it is true of ALL big organizations, whether you are speaking of Mobil Oil, the Catholic Church, the California University system, or the FBI. This is why I believe in smaller government (also smaller organizations in general).

You cannot dodge the fact, however, that you were ignorant of who was governor of Texas during Waco, and really thought you had a zinger for all the Bush supporters. All the spin in the world isn't going to get you out of the hole you dug for yourself. HAR!

This is going to come as a shock to you but I do not think the way many of you do. Not only did I know who was Governor I actually--naively, because I was very, very naive at the time--wrote her an earnest, polite letter. I also wrote a letter to the "new" governor when he took office expressing my hope that he might open some sort of investigation. So you are right to laugh at me. Imagine, writing polite, earnest letters to these figureheads.....
