Brother, you said it. If someone would have told me 25 years ago that we would be sitting here cheering on the Russian special forces, I'd have wondered what kind of mushrooms he'd been chewing, or something.

As it stands, old-style USSR communism was the height of civilization compared to Islamo-nazism. Instead of French-kissing with the Saudis, we need to develop common cause with the Russians. It's a whole new scenario out there.

I work odd hours myself at a data center, midnight-noon, and every other weekend I work fri, sat, sun (and have the next weekend off) - as far as Scrooge & Marley, it's a bank so it is pretty close to scrooge ;) (not to mention the room is freezing! And no coals have been given to me to warm up...). Happily, I am off this weekend :)

Scrooge & Marley - Gonna have to send that up the chain of command as a suggested company name change...

Still lining up buses for the hostages, sounds like more than the 7 or 8 earlier reported! Also dozens of ambulances have come in. Still aren't certain on casualty counts, but that initial 20 dead included both hostages and terrorists.

Russian special forces were smart enough to knock off the TV coverage that had a view of the theater before the operation started.
