"I think the police KNOW that he is NOT Al Qaeda"

If the information in the press about the two notes being found, the one in Ashland, and the one at yesterdays shooting, can be believed, I am starting to lean away from an ME terrorist scenario.

That taken into consideration with the fact that the shooting in Ashland was a logical move, but yesterdays shooting in D.C. was not a logical move, is making me think more in terms of psycho.

This is just spewing thoughts...

Well, it's logical to him and he's back to his point of beginning and into a Phase 2 of some grand plan. It looks like he has changed to night shots though and is no longer certain he can pull it off during daylight hours.

And I'd guess he's not sleeping as well and decided to go "early" as long as he was up.

He sounds pretty "confused" right now.

His "blaming" 5 deaths on the cops lack of responce to him is the "I'm God" (Egomaniac). This guy sounds like he "fights" with everyone he talks with and really turns them off. Someone probably told him "Who do you think you are? God?? at some time.

I think the ransom demand kinda clinched it for me. Plus all these phone calls. This guy is playing GOD with the police.

You're right. If info about the letter is to be believed, the shooter speaks broken English and used a pay phone to talk with police - not sophisticated. It seems AQ would know better than to communicate on pay phones; in the past they have used the most expensive, hard-to-trace equipment. Another day - another theory.

Just shows how confused we all are. Every new major information has people switch side, LOL! I was not one the terrorist theory advocates before. I am now (although I'm thinking mercenaries for Saddam rather than ME terrorists themselves).

New info today and I might go back to the domestic terrorists/nutcases theory. Hopefully LEOs have a better head on their shoulders. LOL!

As I have said before, per standard operating procedure, if there was information, especially from the notes, letters, and phone calls that this was international terrorism, then the federalies would have taken this investigation over. Just as they did the 9/11 investigation, and the prosecution of Moussaoui, and John the Taliban Lind. The fact that this is still a local/county/state gig is a strong indication that this is domestic, and not "terrorism" in the normal sense that we think of "terrorism". Yes, the feds are offering support and assistance, both technical and in manpower, but this investigation is local. oh by the way, morning to all my good friends in Freepland.
