Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

I'd appreciate the information about the tip line if I knew what you were responding to. That is all there is, and should be! I'm not trying to be cryptic... it is just that that is all there is/was.

They won't up the reward. It is maxed out at $500.000. Additional monies collected go towards the victims families IIRC.

there's a lot of woods around here...it's all in patches. Impossible to cover it all.
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
I want special ops guys lurking and hiding in the woods. Why can't they do that? How do you know they are not?

Gotcha ...thanks!

He kept the names of the people who answered the phone. Could Linda Franklin have been one of them? Good point. I wonder if the tipline people are giving their full name when they answer. That would be unwise. One thing the police should expect - and even hope for - when setting up a tipline is that the killer will call.
From remarks made on the Today show, it also sounds like the tipline setup is a fiasco - e.g. scribbling notes on carbon paper and handcarrying to other jurisdictions. There's a lot more they could do with what's available now. There should be a digital archive of all calls.

Thanks, Kim. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Maybe we're better off not knowing until after it's all resolved. (trying hard to convince myself)

I am starting to lean away from an ME terrorist scenario. Just shows how confused we all are. Every new major information has people switch side, LOL! I was not one the terrorist theory advocates before. I am now (although I'm thinking mercenaries for Saddam rather than ME terrorists themselves).
New info today and I might go back to the domestic terrorists/nutcases theory. Hopefully LEOs have a better head on their shoulders. LOL!

I would think the national guard would be large enough to cover it..even some from other states could come in and help..
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
Logically we don't know where he will hit next or which wooded area he will be lurking in. All I know is we are facing more killings by him and there is nothing we can do to stop him from doing it. He is not going to get the 10 million and the police need to stop publically kissing this guys butt. Now that the 1-800-1SNIPER number has been given to the guy we should not see anymore of the police using the media to get there messages across.

No, later it came out that someone had called the tip line... pregnant pauseAhhh, did you call the tip line?

One interesting note that I heard coming in to work today. According to some corespondent who was speaking on the Imus radio program Yesterday's note's handwriting while containing some identical phrasing with the other note (phrasing not released to public) was written in different handwriting
Sray well - Stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown

You know, you've reminded me that I'd heard the handwriting on one of the notes didn't match that with the tarot card.

Ahhh, did you call the tip line? Peach, what you do here is too important for you to be trying to decode cryptic messages. I am not trying to say I know more than I do. There may have been some stuff deleted by a moderator, but you have the jist of it now.

FYI: Fox news just reported that the letter found at ponderosa said the cops would need lots of body bags..and that it was written neatly on lined paper.
