That is, if I didn't have a temporary place to hole up (say a garden apartment complex right in the vicinity of Aspen Hill). I think this is a very legitimate angle....the apartments in that area are catered to low income section 8 housing...pretty affordable as temporary quarters.

Yup, but they are avoiding the area...

I heard on the radio this morning that the letter was written by someone with very poor English. If it's a long letter, as indicated, the mistakes will tell investigators where the writer is from.

"They can find out an awful lot about a dead guy. I want him to go out in a blaze on television so all potential snipers get a good look at the mess. I truly fear a bunch of copycats. I want to discourage them." You make a good argument on this point, my FRiend...I guess I'd just like to see if this guy's got accomplices.

What did Jabbar Habib Kareem say that made you so ticked off?(I mean besides his general a-holedness)

Of course the Clintons would be conveniently out of town though. LOL

"Money demand might end some peoples' speculation that it's terrorists, but not mine"Nor mine, I think it's more probable that we are now dealing with a copycat who sees an opportunity to cash in on the situation. When the DOD released the information that they were deploying surveillance planes over the D.C area, which was really a dumb thing to do, I fully expected the next shooting to be outside of that area, and guess what, it was.
Witness's this morning are reporting hearing three shots. Our guy knows he gets one shot in this deal. To take a second shot greatly increases the possibility that a witness will hear the report and be able to identify where the shot is coming from.

This murderer is an equal opportunity murderer. He's killed men, women, a child, blacks, whites, hispanic, asian...it's not the race, sex or age of the victim. It's whomever is there when he sets up his target.
But has he/she/they killed any Muslims?
Here are the Muslim prayer times for today:
Oct 22 6:13AM 7:25AM 12:54PM 3:54PM 6:21PM 7:34PM
Exactly what time was today's shooting supposed to have happened? Around 5:30 AM?
Occam's razor would seem to apply. Which means that there is only a certain group that wants to kill Americans at random.

The Los Angeles Times also reported Tuesday that unidentified federal agents said the letter was "very lengthy" and poorly worded, bordering on broken English. It's Jesse Jackson! He's tired of extorting corporations, and has decided to extort the whole country.

I think the shooting today happened as a message to Moose - "your gonna play around with my message by saying it was garbled - I will kill in your backyard to teach you to F$$$ with me".

..Don't you wonder if the play by plays of the shootings were not on the airwaves 24/7 (slight exaggeration) ...he might not be doing this?
The more the "Feed" the more the "Need" to kill again!! He's a star now bringing the DC area to it's knees and the media is in a Love/Hate relationship with this person(s).
Lives mean nothing to him , the FEAR he has instilled is the POWER trip and ATTENTION he gets off on...The Media, the Authorities, and team of guasi Professionals with their tough Clint Eastwood "come and get a piece of me" dialog is the "agent provocateur" inciting the Inferno of Fear which this person thrives on.
Whether terrorist(s) or home grown WACKO...CUT the cameras!.. and go to basic news coverage(remember those days? .. 8,12,6,10 o'clock) sparing the families of the victims. But of course, the MEDIA can't do that. They don't think along the terms of what is morally right and morally questionable (bordering on wrong!) when covering their stories. Let Moose find another way to "chat" with the people's Enemy.
This Media route to "open conversation" from a note whether chosen by the sniper(s) or the authorities just adds more to his CELEB Coverage!! Just another decoy like the White Vans/panel trucks/ladder trucks/Taro card. Just my opinion.

Nor mine, I think it's more probable that we are now dealing with a copycat who sees an opportunity to cash in on the situation. No matter how clever they are, how can they possibly expect to collect the money without getting caught? There has to be a drop-off point somewhere. I don't think it's money they're after.
To: KSCITYBOY
That could be true, but there are just a lot of things that lead me to believe that he lives in that area. If he is trying to send a message to the Moose, then it's a bonus to the sniper that the Moose's jurisdiction is the one that the sniper is most familiar with.

I've been listening to that song almost weekly ever since 9-11.
Here is another one that has captured my attention lately. Welcome to FreeRepublic.
To: freeperfromnj
"No matter how clever they are"I never said I thought they were clever. If this is a copycat that is doing this, they would have to be really dumb to get themselves involved in this thing.
To: CougarGA7
Well, I for one find your analysis valid. I don't see much to pick at except maybe...
If the shooter is indeed doing his thing and then running off to work, how could he get through a day without being in a cold sweat most of the time and constantly looking over his shoulder? Why wouldn't he at least have a suspicious look? How could co-workers not be suspicious?

I'm surprised that we haven't seen some enterprising street vendor selling burkas.
