Greater Bethel AME Church (African Methodist Episcopal)
140 Rose St
Athens
706/548-0014
Pastor: David T. Batts
PROFILE OF PASTOR BATTS
Over the weekend, the philandering adulterer daddy and race-baiting poverty pimp, Rev. Jesse Jackson, used the pulpit at the Greater Bethel AME Church in Athens, Georgia for a RAT partisan diatribe. Why is that church, that is using the pulpit to promote RAT political interests, allowed to retain its tax-exempt status? Why is it exempt from property tax? It is absolutely an arm of the RAT party. That is fine, however, they should pay for it.
I tried calling the IRS criminal line at 800.829.0433 to report the church. They said it was not something they would handle and referred me to 800.829.1040. That put me in telephone hell with menu after menu and intolerable waiting times. I finally hung up.
This outrage needs to be reported and the correct phone number needs to be FReeped. Who has some suggestions?

I can't believe the GOP didn't pass that bill which would have allowed political speech in churches.
All that bill would have done is provided equalization, because liberal and black churches can be as political as they please knowing they will never suffer the consequences.

Bumbing this. How do we stop RAT political activity at AME churches?

Whoops. Bumping, not bumbing.

Doug,
You know perfectly well that this statue applies only to conservatives and Republicans; the Christian Coalition cannot print their voter guides without losing their tax-exempt status, but liberal and Dem black churches are under no such constraint. Silly.
They can let exclusively Dem candidates "preach" from the pulpit every Sunday and no one would ever dare to apply the law to the situation.

The fact that the poverty pimp is not in the federal pen is all you need to know about that state of affairs.
It's the same double standard used with Martin Luther King. I happen to think King was a great and courageous man. But, anyone else would have been stripped of their doctorate as soon as plagiarism was proven. King's doctoral dissertation was filled with plagiarism from one end to the other, yet he is still "Dr." King.
Laws don't apply to liberals.
