I disagree. Its past time to demand the parasites and predators in the swamp start doing their main job and that is protecting the citizens from foreign and domestic enemies. We need to close our borders, round up illegels and ship them out of the country.
It is gonna get worse before it gets better. The p and p's will dent americans their freedom and rights before they will do the proper thing.

Did Geraldo have a bullet whiz past his head 200 miles from the action, again?

He got 3 things right:
The whole affair is now officially a circus,
Gun control freaks are in a feeding frenzy,
And the factless media should really back off a bit.
He still doesn't grasp the fact that it doesn't make one a fruitcake to observe the obvious...that it's not some nutcase.

Damn, I thought this was a thread about an Emerson, Lake and Palmer reunion tour

When the copycats start, the national TV press will be just as much to blame as they were on the school shootings.

7Gun control freaks come out of the woodwork, citing the shootings as justification for taking all the guns in America and melting them into a giant memorial to Michael Moore. It would take at least that much iron to do justice to the girth of that mammoth boore bore boar.

Where's the bread to go with that circus?
To: KLT
I agree with most of this! Well, 99% actually. I am not convinced it is not terrorists yet, but I don't know of course. Otherwise, it is a circus, and the media is hindering the entire investigation IMO, as usual. I think also that the constant coverage invites copycats, and desensitizes the public to this kind of violence. There is no reason for 24/7 coverage of this.

Still reading "Shakedown" and the more I read, the more I loathe the media. Over $1 Billion in government grants sucked up by PUSH and no-one takes the initiative to investigate Jessie Jackson.

Don't forget the valuable lessons it has taught us:
1. It is okay to automatically accept the profile that the sniper is a white guy.
2. Given that it is a white guy, it is okay to profile.
3. Given that it is a white guy, citizens are encouraged to monitor suspicious behaviour, and tip off the authorities.
4. Given that it is a white guy, he must be stopped, rather than stop to ask ourselves, "what did we do to make this man hate us?"

Heard on tonight's national news broadcast:
20 people were killed in DC (I think he said) over the weekend. So the police are calling these killings "traditional killings" to distinguish them from the sniper killings.
