Rep. Maxine Waters, Rep. Cynthia McKinney, Rep. Barbara Lee, Rep. John Lewis, Rep. Charles Rangel and the other members of Congress who voted against President George W. Bushs resolution to authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against Iraq are traitors to the United States of America! It is shameful that 32 of 37 black members of Congress have voted against the Presidents effort to root out terrorists and deal with Saddam Husseinone of the most evil dictators in recent history.
According to news reports and The White House: Iraq has consistently refused to comply with international law and has threatened the vital interests of the United States; Iraq is continuing to possess and develop chemical and biological weapons capability, actively seeking nuclear capability, and supporting and harboring terrorist organizations including members of al Qaida; in 1993 Saddam Hussein tried to have former President Bush assassinated; Husseins brutal regime attacked United States and Coalition Armed Forces who were attempting to enforce United Nations Security Council resolutions.
What more proof do these people need that Saddam Hussein is a serious threat? The Congressional Black Caucus and its members are a disgrace. If our elected officials dont stand for protecting our country against foreign aggression and terrorismwhat do they stand for? Black Americans should be outraged by the actions of these so-called leaders. This vote was purely political and is a desperate attempt by the liberal Democrats to undermine President Bush. Im extending my offer for a free one-way ticket to Baghdad to the 32 pro Iraq members of Congress; so they can accompany the likes of Jesse Jackson and Louis Farrakhan.

Rep. J.C. Watts (Republican) voted yes.
So, only 4 black Dems voted in favor.
Rep. Albert Wynn, Rep. William Jefferson, Rep. Harold Ford, Rep. Sanford Bishop

Simply voting against the resolution is not in any sense treason, and to make such a charge is sick and depraved.
I am mostly unfamiliar with Mr. Peterson, and after this shameful display, I will be sure to remain so.

Yup. Yet another jerk who believes that treason is espousing anything that he doesn't happen to believe in...

I am not convinced that their actions amount to treason, but they would make wonderful human shields for their hero Saddam.

Thanks for that info! I've never heard of Wynn, and am only really familiar with Ford. The other two I've heard of, but don't know much about them.

I'd like Rev. Petersen to extend his offer to the white traitors (like McDermott & Bonior) as well. Absolutely! They could all go off in the same Ship of Fools...
