Muslims Bali-hoo Their Idea of Peace
By Marc J. Rauch Tuesday, October 15, 2002
At first, the news reports this past Saturday said that just a handful of people were victims of terrorist bombings in Bali, Indonesia. By Sunday night, the death toll was up to 188, with another 300 people injured.
The explosions took place in a night life area that is typically frequented by tourists and vacationers. Indonesia is a Muslim country, the most populous Muslim country. Its not near Israel or the United States. Its not run by Jews or Americans. There are no 'illegal' Jewish settlements, and I dont believe that the Indonesians are in a dispute over water rights with any western country. I dont even think that Ariel Sharon has ever been to Bali.
The bombings still happened, hundreds of human beings were ripped apart.
Reports indicate that a large percentage of the victims are Australian. Recently, Australians have voiced a lot of concern about going to war against terrorism and Saddam Hussein. Apparently they cant quite understand why the world should be concerned. I guess they feel very protected on their island paradise with their incredibly strict immigration laws. Basically they keep out everyone that is not of white European ancestry.
I like Australia, not because of its exclusionary policies, but because of what it offers. Ive never been to there, but I dream about going, perhaps even emigrating. They have great surfing, fabulous beaches, and beautiful women. Im already taken, so Id just go for the surfing and the beaches. I hope they have tequila in Australia. I really love margaritas, too.
I wonder how many street demonstrations there were in Australia today to protest Americas 'preoccupation' with defeating Islamic terrorism and Saddam Hussein. Probably not that many, although I could be wrong since a lot of Australians are out of work and have nothing else to do (other than surfing, sun-tanning, and making love to their beautiful women). They just collect government assistance. They call it being on the dole. Joining an anti-war protest is a good way to meet sheilas: they call their women sheilas. Youve probably heard Paul Hogan use that term. They like to be on the dole, go surfing, and chat up sheilas.
But you know this commentary isnt about Australia or fab beaches or enjoying life with a beautiful sheila. Its about the taking of life: the wanton, premeditated, unjustified killing, mutilating, and destruction of life. And it took place far, far from the madding war-torn locations that we all normally think of.
Im not surprised by what happened. I like to think that Im not surprised by any heinous act that gets committed in the name of Allah. Im just disappointed, again.
When do the good Muslims in the world step forward? When do thousands and thousands of peace-loving Muslims take to the street to protest the violence? When do they shout out to their murderous brethren, NOT IN OUR NAME!
Americas peace-pukes were so happy to protest our governments decision to take action against Hussein. They so cleverly wrote petitions and took out newspaper ads and had their sixties-style anti-war protests that all focused around their brand-new NOT IN OUR NAME slogan.
I want to know how much more has to happen before Muslims have had enough atrocities committed in their name, and rise up in protest. I want to know if theyll ever rise up to protest the senseless slaughter of hundreds and thousands of innocent people. Theyre real quick to protest an American or Israeli defensive act. It takes them no time to get out in streets to celebrate the bombing of a college campus, or to dance openly in support of the destruction of the World Trade Centers. Muslims are obviously a demonstrative people. When do they demonstrate against violence that their people commit?
Its important for me to know this. I may want to take a side trip over to Indonesia one day and Id hate to get Bali-hooed while there.

Right on target. Silence = tacit approval. It is way past time and only a handful have spoken up. If you know someone of this faith, tell them. Don't bother to ask, just tell them.
Silence = tacit approval
Bump that!
A lot of innocent, decent people are dying for that to happen...(not holding MY breath!)
If this keeps up all civilized nations will be soon forced to outlaw this false religion and deport all the foreign national who are Islamics.
Islam is not a religion -- it is a 'cult of violence, gang rape, torture and murder.' I say go right ahead .... boot them all.
BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!

LOL!
One of the most telling criticisms of Islam is that it holds that the Qur'an is the literal word of God, dictated by Allah to Mohammed. Therefore it cannot be wrong, and must be interpreted literally. What does it say?
It does not say these things once, but many times.
If you're a liberalized Muslim, with a live-and-let-live attitude toward those of other faiths, you have to keep it to yourself -- because to let on is Istihkfaf, or heresy, and is punishable by death. Those who would carry out the sentence believe that it is God's will, and that they'll be guaranteed places in Paradise for seeing to it.
Try Robert Spencer's book Islam Unveiled. It's a stunner.

Why? Because peace-loving, honorable Muslims are rare birds. And if they speak up, they're dead birds.
Why?
Because to them, NON-Muslims are infidels and deserving of death. Technically, any NON-Muslim is not innocent and it would therefore be okay to kill that person.
Okay, most Muslims would not take this literally and most attempt to get along peacefully with their non-Muslim neighbors. But if it came down to supporting an "infidel" or defending a Muslim, they'd choose the Muslim, even an extremist Muslim. To do otherwise would be to side with the infidel, making themselves deserving of death.
One Muslim on a call-in radio show I was listening to yesterday said that clerics are afraid to speak out, even though he himself said the terrorists were "going against Islam" by killing innocent people and that "most Muslims do not agree with the radicals". Then he babbled about there being "radicals in every religion" and saying it is "not for him to judge what others do, just as he doesn't want others judging his religion". Sheesh. The radio host pointed out that many clerics WERE speaking out about the terrorists, but positively instead of condemningly. The caller could not explain why ordinary Muslims did not collectively condemn the behavior of the jihadists. They can SAY "religion of peace" all they want, but their actions speak louder than words. Or in other words, by their fruit you shall know them.
Matthew 7:15-21 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Not there yet. That will take time. It's been 13+ months, and the trend is in that direction, but it will take a certain critical density of terrorist acts per unit time or per geographic area to push this to the breaking point.
