A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/13/02

President Bush and First Lady Laura stayed in the nation's capital this weekend so Laura could finish up her National Book Festival yesterday. This morning, the first couple attended church services, and when asked by reporters to comment on the bombing in Indonesia, Bush called the act cowardly and urged the world leaders to once again unite in the global war against terrorism. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I did this all for fun, a rush job, so don't be too picky, ladies.

I'm bad about checking in on this thread.
President Bush looks exhausted and very worried.
Decent people who must face evil like the Bali bombing daily can be worn down so quickly. I'm so glad he has Laura, and that he has his faith.
We must ALL pray for him every day.

but my greatest fear is to see radical Islam take a foothold in Central America.I hate to admit I'm not even slightly in the know about this -- is there a growing Muslim population in Central/South America? I agree with your Nazi analogy and find it frightening. Radical Islamists can't and won't co-exist with others. It's their way or total destruction.

Ha! He looks good without hair! NOW you have to do Edwards and Kerry! I am convinced that without hair they would not have a chance!

Look at this statement by the Aussie Prime Minister:
"I detect an unreasoned desire to unfairly attack and criticise American behaviour against a background of always assuming that the protection and support of the US will always be there. This issue is not going to go away and cannot go unaddressed."
This man actually gets it. We are the protectors of peace and freedom in the world. If we go down, nobody will be safe.

Yes, and she stands behind her husband and our President with full support and love. He knows that. He probably is worried. He has a lot on his plate trying to protect people but...he is up to the task at hand. Laura, his family and his God will see him through it all and us too!

**The French indeed may just throw up there hands in defeat, but don't bet on an
Aussie or Kiwi doing that!**
Agreed! But with so many liberals in Oz, the terrorists may think they're all like clintoon, and will just look the other way.

You are most welcome. I loved how appropriate the retro-rat poster fitted in with our present situation.

What are these terrorists trying to prove in regard to the attacks on other countries? Israel and the United States are plain to see, but some other countries are not so obvious. One way to look at it is that madmen don't make sense. Who would have expected the French tanker to be targeted? In Australia, the intelligence seems to indicate their energy sector may be at risk of terrorist attack, including power plants, refineries and gas and oil distribution lines.

Thanks for these rintense. I'm just checking in for a minute before daughter #2 steals the computer for a school project.
It makes me even more dedicated to praying for this fine man and his wife when I see how troubled he looks.
Thank You Lord for George W. Bush, Your servant.....for equipping him so perfectly for the task to which You have called him. Give him strength, wisdom and comfort as he leads this great nation in obedience to Your will. Bless his lovely wife, Laura, and their marriage, that it might be a fortress and haven for him with the enormous load he carries. In the strong name of Christ I pray, Amen.

I read some months ago that the original plan for 9/11 was to attack the USA, Britain, India and Australia simultaneously. Apparently al queda had hijackers in the airport in England ready to go on that morning, but they had to abort when the Brits grounded their planes. Maybe they were planning attacks on the Aussies from the start.
