How about this one: in 1992, at the tender age of 47, I had a heart attack during a treadmill test. I was all hooked up to the EKG monitors, etc.

I kept telling the doctor and the nurse that I didn't feel well - felt clammy, heaviness in my arms, but at that point, no severe chest pain - YET. Doc said I was doing great, and INCREASED the speed and elevation of the treadmill.

To make a long story short, half an hour later, I was defibrillated TWICE in the ambulance by the EMTs (my heroes).

I've often wondered, if I'd been a 47-year old male, the doctor would have acknowledged my distress and stopped the test. To make a long story short, I

I have seen those sort of tests, though have not participated in one.

Generally there is a doctor present in case an event happens. Some of the stats typically get quite elevated and that is why a physician is usually present, just in case. I cannot understand how yours got so out of control.
