Since my comment will likely never see the light of day on their leftist board, I'll post it here:

As a professional apologist and excuse-maker for murderous despots including Yasser Arafat, Fidel Castro, Hafez al-Assad, and Kim Il Sung, Mr. Carter is the perfect choice for this hypocritical and comical award.

BTW, don’t miss this wonderful old chestnut (or should I say “peanut”):

The Trite Stuff - Reflections of an ex-president (Classic, priceless Carter bashing)

I think, and this is just one cat's opinion, mind you, that Richard Chamberlain should have won! Why? First he negotiated peace with Hitler, then he went on to play peace loving Dr Kildare, and finally he became a peaceful, award winning basketball player. A perfect candidate!

Fashionably merry, too! (Or "gay" - I always get these synonyms confused!)

Richard Chamberlain gay? Oh how sad. Such a waste of manhood.

Jimmy Carter is not a naive simpleton. He is an disgraceful, Arab arse-kissing (His Carter Center is 90% funded by Saudis), Arafat speechwriting, Marxist traitor. He should be shunned by all Americans.

His "legacy" since leaving office is one of appeasement of dictators and marketing Yasser Arafat the murderer as Arafat the "statesman", with thousands of innocent victims' blood on his hands as a result.

Carter is the 2nd worst president in my lifetime (Slick has him beat by a nosehair)..... His legacy will be building dwellings for losers, not his term in office. He's such a loser. Too bad he gets $ for being such a loser.

The trouble with the PC method of foreign policy is that (take for instance Iraq) - you don't get the assurance that it will work - or that it will last.

Tis better to remove the offending party (take for instance - Saddam)

What would Jimmy Carter have done with the Cuban missiles? Left them there?

Well, that's it exactly. A show of will and strength is the more likely deterrent, and thus produce the peace which the left says is their goal.

And of course, in contrast, weakness or perceived weakness increases the risk of war, aupposedly what the left wants to avoid.

That should be the lesson of the '90s and our weak reaction to the terrorist actions of that decade.

Jeeeeeemy et al. think they can talk the evildoers out of their ways! Talk about hubris!!
