I wouldn't mess like that with a senator that has been around for 48 years. I don't think thats a smart thing to do.
To: The Anti-Democrat
Maybe I just haven't listened to enough news lately...
but surely some commentator has called this affair a sort of despicable "elder abuse".
Someone should just say that Leahy probably made the "promise", thinking that
Strom would probably just forget about it, or just let it slide during the rounds of
retirement good-bye ceremonies.

I watched CSpan when this happened. What else should we expect from a liberal DEMORAT????? They lie, cheat and will do anything for power. Let no one forget what they are doing.....keeping judicial subjects from being heard. This is the montra of the Demorat Party and they are showing this across the country. We will remember in November when we vote.

This latest bit of skullduggery and outright DECEIT on the part of The democRATS ought to convince even the most skeptical observer how that party has been absolutely corrupted by "BeelzeBubba"and his minions! Was it H R Haldeman who said(to Nixon)"There's A Cancer On The Presidency"?There Is CERTAINLY A CANCER ON The democRAT Party!!!

Yes. This is the party of the Clintons, after all We know what they stand for, and what their standards are. No one should have been at all surprised. Too bad the Republicans haven't been able to bring this truth home to voters.

Didn't Hillary actually try to knock Strom down with her elbow on the Senate floor, back before Jeffords defected when they were desperately looking a way to turn the Senate?

convince even the most skeptical observerSadly, thanks to the 'rat propaganda arm, otherwise known as the news media, there are relatively few observers of this scandalous behavior. All too often the media hide and protect the 'rats by keeping this stuff out of print and off the air.

The Online Prowler in American Spectator said so...
but local news reports on Thurmond's condition made a big deal out of the fact that Strom wasnt there for the State of the Union...

Liberals have no ethics or character their word means less than dirt.
To: The Anti-Democrat
I am not familiar with the particulars of this. What did Pat do to the Hon. Strom Thurmond?
To: Pegita
Being from VT, there is a good chance that Leahy believes in euthanasia. He would probably like to euthanasize Strom. He probably still thinks Strom is "racist" and deep down just hates the old South Carolinian.
To: Theodore R.
I didn't pass on the opportunity to "speak" to the Undistinguished Senator again today ... emailed a copy of the revised, revamped, and really good "Social Insecurity" graphic ... now it's Leahy pushing Thurmond over the cliff. My note to the Undistinguished Senator:
Truth in Advertising ...
If I were the Undistinguished, I'd worry that my President is one who doesn't take kindly to lies ...
