Daschle has walked on the Senate floor and said what President Bush has been saying all along. Sadaam is a threat. We cannot sit back and allow the violations of agreements to go ignored. Kill him etc.
I think it is great to see such a dignified man of Daschle's stature, who with such eluoquent skill and authority, and with such desperate political posturing, saved himself from becoming McGovern wannabe 2002. These Dems are sneaky. But isn't it great to see a man who said the war on terror was in doubt over a year ago when it wasn't, and a man who claimed Bush insulted him on Iraq, even though Bsuh only offered legitimate and correct criticism of the Democrats push for Unions in the Homeland Security Bill, finally make some sense? Even though Tom's sincerity on the case of Iraq, I believe is non-existent.

Tom's sincerity on the case of Iraq (2002) = Gore's sincerity re: Iraq, circa 1991.

What
D@sshole really meant:
"Let's get this Iraqui thing over with--we don't have much time left to blame the economy on President Bush!!"
To: Ridgeway
What's really amazing is that the supposedly unintelligent Bush keeps beating the tar out of the Democrats, supposedly the party of the smart people.

Poll and focus group numbers musta come in today, and Tommy's got his eye firmly on his Majority Leader position. You've got to know that one of the questions was:
Would you be more or less likely to vote for a Democrat if he opposed war with Iraq?

Bush Wins Key Support of Daschle"I believe it is important for America to speak with one voice," Daschle declared.
Especially when he knows he will be on the losing end of the vote.

I heard it. He had a whole laundry list of caveats so he can say, "I told you so" if things go awry. He's following the lead of Kerry and Lieberman so that he has a chance at the presidency downstream. He looked at the poll numbers and made his decision- a politician to the end.

Betcha Dashole's wife watched Operah yesterday. (Did anyone else see that thread? Unbelieveable! Who knew Oprah would be able to turn the tide in the President's favor.)
To: Slyfox
You got it. Of course when we easily win the war, Hillary! will claim she whole-heartedly supported Bush the whole time.
