From Channel 5 TV news

The shooting happened at 8:18 PM.
Nobody saw the gunman.
One witness saw a vehicle speed away towards I-66.
It was a white van, maybe a panel van, with front windows and no rear or side windows (might be a pickup with a windowless cap on the back).
They brought in the Prince William County police recruits to search a small area about 50 yards away. It had a few trees and schrubs.

"CNN reporting this morning a white Dodge Caravan was seen leaving the scene."

Believe this or not, but two days ago, I told my wife that the ideal vehicle would be a white Chrysler minivan. Ubiquitous, with tilt out heavily tinted windows that give a vertical slot for the scope axis and barrel axis to have a clear shot. They are widely available for rent or theft as well.

I didn't mean they should look at all the unpaid parking tickets for this case. I was just relaying what the cops on the SoS case did on a hunch and that cops who tried it said building a relationship doesn't work.

With multitudes of threads and wading though posts to get some information I consider the idea that the killer prepared a shooting area and then shot from another area to be ludicrous.
The kid had a witness to his shooting as he walked away from a car to the school. The wound was already described as left to right.

The idea of planting a cartridge may be a good one if the killer didn't want the authorities to know that he was using a pistol instead of a rifle so he can get around unseen while witnesses are looking for someone with a large bag or blanket. In other words, substituting a case fired by a single shot pistol for one that was shot by a rifle would be an advantage.

Yeh, I agree...put the handwriting out to the public...The only thing that bothers me is that it might wind up being block letters and not scribbling like they (deliberately???) mentioned.

The "Dear Policeman" gives me the impression of printing, not writing.

Because one of the newspaper articles said a white mini-van was seen speeding out and away from the gas station at the time of the shooting. If this is the same shooter, to date he's made long distance shots, not close range.

I'm going to stay out of the tarot card speculation except that if there was more than two people involved why did they feel the need to brag to someone else? Lone nuts feel the need for companionship and communication, not pairs. Pairs have each other. It was "I" not "we".

It's a nice day not to be here. My hunting trip is a bust for this weekend. Jordan is getting ready to go on an "early business trip" and can't help me orphan bambi. I'll hit it in the late season...better anyway, we'll have more freezer space then.
