Fox's crawler on the cable channel shows that the terror alert level has been elevated.

I was watching Brit Hume on Fox News Channel and the crawler indicated that the terrorist alert level has been elevated. I checked Drudge, UP breaking, nothing there, any FReepers have any information? Would the level alert be raised due to our sniper in the D.C. area?

I think that it has been like that for several weeks. Elevated is one step down from high.

Actually, I think the level is currently at "Elevated," and has been there after being downgraded since the 9/11 anniversary.

Fox is using "elevated" as a noun from the color-coded Federal alert system, NOT an adjective suggesting an increase in the alert level.

The level was actually at High-Orange through the 9/11 anniversary and reduced back to Elevated-Yellow after the Buffalo cell arrests.

So, why such a low key announcement, only the crawler that I saw on Fox. No verbal discussion on Fox news. Why did it go up. What can you do? Well since the shootings started I've decided that I'm not going to do any yard work until the the freak is caught. Also, I've been switching cars so my wife is the one to fill up the tank.
